Our Gallery Partner ART SEASONS will be hosting a virtual reading and tour of *From Landscape to Abstraction: The Visual Language of Than Htay* on 6 September 2026, 2 pm to 4 pm, at ART SEASONS Gallery. Lead by Art historian Theresa Tan. ArtwithTee

What happens when a landscape becomes an abstraction? When colour becomes the subject rather than a description of nature? And when a painting that looks spontaneous reveals a carefully constructed visual language?

This talk offers a close visual reading of the paintings of Myanmar artist Than Htay (b. 1958, Yangon), examining how he moves between lyrical landscapes, fragmented imagery, geometric abstraction and gestural painting.

About Theresa Tan:
Theresa Tan is a member of the UK’s Association for Art History, as well as a qualified appraiser of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). She holds a Master of Arts (Distinction) in Asian Art Histories from Goldsmiths, University of London.

If you love art, enjoy building meaningful relationships with collectors and artists, and want to be part of bringing exceptional art into people’s lives, we‘d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do
• Represent Y Art Project at 5–7 international art fairs each year
• Welcome and build lasting relationships with collectors and artists
• Guide the collector journey—from first conversation to artwork installation
• Support exhibitions, gallery projects, and day-to-day operations
• Lead marketing across digital and social platforms

What we‘re looking for
• A genuine passion for art and the creative industry
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Fluent in English and Chinese
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to travel

Today is our last day Of Light and Matter.

As I walk through the space one last time, I’m filled with gratitude. This exhibition marked the beginning of a new chapter for Y Art Project, our first physical gallery space in Singapore, collaboration with Art Seasons Gallery, , and it reminded me how meaningful it is to create spaces where art invites us to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves.

To every artist, collector, friend, and visitor who spent time with these works, thank you.

While every exhibition eventually comes to an end, the ideas and connections it creates continue long after the walls are cleared.

Here’s to many more meaningful collaborations, beautiful encounters, and the journey ahead.

Y Art Project is delighted to present an inspiring evening with Singaporean artist and author Siyuan Aw in The Nanson. .nanson

From Singapore to the vast landscapes of West Mongolia, Siyuan’s journey led to Our Wings As One—a moving story inspired by the ancient tradition of eagle hunting and the universal themes of love, connection, and letting go.

Through documentary footage, photography, original oil paintings, and personal stories, Siyuan will share the experiences that shaped both his book and artistic practice. This is more than an artist talk—it’s an invitation to reflect on the stories we carry and the connections that unite us across cultures.

I’m honoured to be hosting this conversation and would love to welcome our Y Art Project community, collectors, artists, and friends to join us for what promises to be a meaningful evening.

Y Art Project is pleased to present Of Light and Matter, a group exhibition featuring nine contemporary artists from Singapore, China, and Japan.

The exhibition marks an important milestone for Y Art Project, as it presents its first dedicated gallery space in Singapore, embarking on a collaboration with Art Seasons gallery to establish a new platform dedicated to exhibitions, artist development, and public engagement. This partnership seeks to strengthen opportunities for artistic presentation, professional growth, and meaningful dialogue between artists and diverse audiences, while contributing to the broader cultural ecosystem.

What happens when a discarded piece of fabric is given a second life? How creativity transforms waste?

Through Threads of Change, we invited our community to reimagine textile waste as a symbol of creativity, connection, and hope. Together, more than 100 participants contributed over 50 hours of making, transforming unwanted fabric into a collaborative tree installation that celebrates renewal and collective action.

But the story doesn’t end there.

Through an immersive AR experience, visitors can discover the hidden stories woven into every thread and explore how creativity can inspire a more sustainable future.

Presented at Millenia Walk, this community workshop series and installation is part of the ViaRT Award initiative, with support from the National Environment Agency (NEA), in support of Clean & Green Singapore. Through art, innovation, and community participation, the project encourages conversations around textile waste, circularity, and environmental stewardship.

Every thread tells a second story. 🌱
