Dementia is Everybody’s Business - The Hackathon Returns!
How do you enhance the quality of life for people living with dementia (PLD) and their carers? Are you familiar with new dementia care models focusing on autonomy, choices and dignity for PLDs?
In partnership with The Salvation Army Peacehaven Nursing Home, Goshen Consultancy Services, and the Lien Foundation’s Hack Care book to create dementia-friendly environments, the hackathon on 18 July will empower you to:
- Develop a person-centred perspective to support and address the needs of a PLD within a care environment,
- Examine the person-centred care approaches and applications that improve the quality of life of the PLD, and
- Generate practical person-centred dementia care solutions using Hackathon tips.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in a guided tour of Peacehaven Nursing Home's Jade Circle, a four-storey, purpose-built dementia-friendly leading eldercare facility.
The hackathon is suitable for healthcare professionals, allied healthcare professionals, staff of eldercare services, social workers, and counsellors.
Bring a team of 3 and enjoy the group discount of $350/pax (after maximum VCF subsidies). Register or find out more about the hackathon here: bit.ly/3xneeRk
