Mr Hubs and I attended a parents’ event at Adik’s new school earlier this evening. It was a good initiative as we now have a better understanding of the interesting activities planned for the Sec 1 students.
The principal and year head shared useful information on the school and what they expect from the students.
Parents also had the chance to visit the students’ respective classrooms. We were introduced to Adik’s form teachers, met other parents to his classmates, and we now have an idea as to where he sits in class everyday.
We then retuned to the school hall where we were entertained with performances by the various Sec 1 classes. It was interesting to see how some students have already started establishing cliques among themselves, within 1 week of knowing each other.
I look forward to partnering with the school so that I can help Adik in adjusting smoothly to secondary school life - Insya-Allah, ameen 🤲🏼
