Christopher Nolan is making a strong case for physical media, urging film lovers to buy 4K UHD and Blu-ray copies to truly own the movies they love. As streaming platforms continue to add and remove content due to licensing shifts, Nolan warns that digital access is far from permanent.

While promoting the home release of Oppenheimer, he emphasized that owning a physical disc ensures long-term access—free from algorithm changes or disappearing titles. “No evil streaming service can come steal it from you,” he quipped, reinforcing his belief that physical media is still the most reliable way to preserve film in its intended form.
