From 1 o’clock to 12 o’clock…

We all have the same clock.

What are we doing today that our future self will thank us for?

Every month, the bills arrive on time.

The utilities.

The phone bill.

The insurance.

The mortgage.

The credit card.

Funny thing is…

The bills never forget us.

But many of us keep postponing the things that matter to our future.

Our health.

Our retirement.

Our dreams.

Our Plan B.

“When I’m ready.”

“When things settle down.”

“When I have more confidence.”

Another day passes.

Then another.

And before we know it, another year has gone by.

That’s one reason I decided to stop waiting until I felt 100% ready.

Not because I have everything figured out.

But because I’ve realised regrets don’t always happen years later.

Sometimes they happen the very next day.

Whether it’s improving my fitness, learning new skills, or exploring a digital business.

I’ve learned that confidence usually comes after we start.

Not before.

Thankful for the reminder.

And thankful to God for every opportunity to take that first step, even when I don’t feel fully ready. 🙏

If there’s something you’ve been wanting to do but keep waiting for the “right time”, maybe today is a good day to take that first small step. 😊

This robot caught my attention as I cycled past.

“Painfully in love.”

“Couldn’t get up.”

For some reason, the words stayed in my mind.

Not because of love.

But because of the phrase...

“Couldn’t get up.”

I think many of us have moments like that.

Not physically.

But in life.

A setback.

A disappointment.

A mistake.

A season where things didn’t go the way we hoped.

And for a while, we simply don’t feel like getting up again.

I’ve had my share of those moments too.

Whether it’s health, finances, family responsibilities, or trying something new.

The hardest part isn’t always the failure.

Sometimes the hardest part is finding the courage to try again.

That’s one reason I’m thankful I didn’t wait until I felt completely ready before taking new steps.

Whether it’s improving my fitness, learning new skills, or building a digital business.

I’ve learned that confidence usually comes after we start.

Not before.

Thankful to God for His grace through every season.

And for the strength to get up and keep moving forward.

If there’s something you’ve been wanting to do but fear has been holding u back, maybe today is a good day to get up and take the first step.

Have u ever worried that u might be holding other people back?

I do. 😅

Today’s hike reminded me of that again.

TBH, hiking with someone much fitter than me can feel a little stressful.

I always worry that I’m too slow and might hold people up.

But throughout the hike, she never rushed me.

Never compared.

Never pushed.

She simply reminded me to go at my own pace.

And that got me thinking…

Sometimes the difference isn’t the journey.

It’s who we walk the journey with.

The right people don’t make u feel inadequate.

They encourage u to keep going.

At ur own pace.

After the hike, we suddenly realised that this time last year, we were in Bangkok 😄

A year later, I’m thankful we’re still creating memories together.

And honestly, she reminded me of my coach and mentor too.

Whether it’s hiking, life, or the digital business I’m building, I’ve come to appreciate people who encourage rather than pressure.

People who remind u that progress is still progress, even when it’s slower than someone else’s.

Thankful for today’s hike.

Thankful for friendships that have stood the test of time.

And thankful to God for placing the right people in my life at the right time.

And if u’ve been putting off something coz u think u’re too slow, u cannot, maybe it’s time to take that first step anyway. 😊

Even our shadow doesn’t stay with us all day.

Looking at this photo, that thought came to mind.

As the sun moves, our shadow changes.

Sometimes it’s long.

Sometimes it’s short.

And sometimes it disappears altogether.

Life can be a little like that too.

The people we love.

The opportunities we have.

Our health.

Our energy.

Even the seasons we’re going through.

None of them stay the same forever.

Yet many of us keep telling ourselves…

“One day.”

One day I’ll take better care of my health.

One day I’ll spend more time with family.

One day I’ll pursue that dream.

One day I’ll start planning for my future.

But what if “one day” never arrives the way we imagined?

Perhaps that’s why I’ve come to appreciate today a little more.

Not tomorrow.

Not next year.

Today.

Because some opportunities are meant to be taken while they’re still in front of us.

That’s one reason I started exploring a digital business alongside my freelance work.

Not coz everything was perfect.

But coz I didn’t want to spend years waiting for the perfect time.

Looking at this shadow reminded me of something simple.

Even our shadow doesn’t stay with us all day.

So maybe we shouldn’t keep waiting for someday either.

Thankful for the reminder.

And thankful to God for each new day He gives us.

If you’ve been putting off something that’s important to u, perhaps today is a good day to take that first small step.

If a Plan B has been sitting at the back of ur mind for some time, feel free to drop me a message. 😊

Maybe that’s something I’ve had to learn over the years.

Not everyone starts from the same place.

Not everyone has the same energy level.

Not everyone finds exercise easy.

For me, there has always been a condition that I’ve lived with for years.

And lately, I’ve actually been feeling more tired than usual.

There are days when my energy level isn’t where I want it to be.

Days when I wonder if I should just take it easy instead.

But lately, I’ve been making an effort to move more.

Walk a little further.

Climb a few more stairs.

Take one more step than I did before.

Not coz I’m training for a marathon.

But coz I know nothing will change if I keep doing the same thing.

As I get older, I’m beginning to appreciate how important it is to keep moving.

Not to compete with anyone else.

Not to become the fastest.

Just to become a little stronger than I was yesterday.

Looking at this photo, I’m reminded that every small step counts.

Not every step is fast.

Not every step feels strong.

But every step still moves us forward.

Thankful for the reminder.

And thankful to God for the strength to keep going, one step at a time.

And if u needed this reminder today…

Don’t give up.

Keep going.

I’m saying this to myself too. 😊

Happy week ahead!

One day, u’ll realise it wasn’t the money u wanted more of.

It was the time.

(Throwback to a family day trip to JB last month.)

In the midst of caring for my mum and accompanying her through her medical journey, my husband and son decided to bring me to JB for a short break.

Nothing fancy.

Just a simple day out together.

And somewhere during the trip, a thought came to mind…

Most of us spend years chasing something.

More income.

More savings.

More security.

More certainty.

And while those things are important, they often come at a cost.

We become so busy building a future that we forget to enjoy the people sharing the journey with us today.

The truth is…

There will always be more work to do.

More bills to pay.

More responsibilities waiting.

But there are some moments we can never get back.

A family meal.

A conversation during a car ride.

A photo taken without knowing one day it will become a treasured memory.

As I’ve grown older, I’ve started asking myself a different question.

Not just “How can I earn more?”

But also…

“How can I create more time for the people who matter?”

That’s one reason I started exploring a digital business alongside my freelance work.

Not coz I wanted another job.

But coz I wanted more choices over how I spend my time in the years ahead.

Looking back at this simple JB trip, I’m reminded that success means very little if we have nobody to share it with.

Thankful for the memories.

And thankful to God for every moment that money can never buy. 🙏

If creating more time freedom for ur future is something u’ve been thinking about, feel free to drop me a message.

Have u ever felt stuck?

Not where u used to be.

Not where u want to be.

Just somewhere in between.

Looking at this tern in flight, that thought came to mind.

For many people, life can feel a little like that.

You know u want something to change.

Maybe ur finances.

Maybe ur health.

Maybe ur work situation.

Maybe ur future retirement plans.

But taking the next step feels uncomfortable.

What if it doesn’t work?

What if I fail?

What if I’m too late?

So we stay where we are.

Not coz we’re happy there.

But coz it feels safer than the unknown.

The funny thing is…

The tern doesn’t seem to have that luxury.

If it wants to survive, it has to leave the ground.

It has to trust its wings.

And perhaps life is a little like that too.

The things we hope for rarely happen while standing still.

Sometimes progress begins with one small step.

One decision.

One conversation.

One new skill.

One opportunity explored.

Not coz success is guaranteed.

But coz staying exactly where we are doesn’t guarantee anything either.

For me, exploring a digital business was one of those steps.

Not coz I had all the answers.

But coz I didn’t want fear of the unknown to make decisions for me.

Looking at this tern, I was reminded that growth often begins in the space between comfort and courage.

Thankful for the reminder.

And thankful to God for guiding us even when we can’t see the full journey ahead. 🙏

If u’ve been thinking abt creating more options for ur future, feel free to drop me a message.

Imagine working for years…

Giving ur best to the company…

And one day, being told ur position is no longer needed.

Just spoke to a friend who was unexpectedly retrenched.

No warning.

No choice.

Just like that, everything changed.

Like many people, she wasn’t lazy.

She wasn’t underperforming.

Our conversation stayed in my mind for quite a while.

Coz the truth is, none of us really know what tomorrow will bring.

Questions like…

“What’s next?”

“How long will my savings last?”

“Will anyone hire me at my age?”

“Can I still pay the bills if this drags on?”

“What if my family depends on me?”

I think many people quietly carry similar concerns.

Maybe not today.

Maybe not tomorrow.

But somewhere in the back of our minds.

Especially when we reach a stage of life where responsibilities are often at their highest.

Supporting elderly parents.

Preparing for retirement.

Managing household expenses.

Trying to stay healthy.

And sometimes wondering if we have saved enough.

The truth is, none of us can predict what life will bring.

Over the past few months, caring for my mum through her health challenges has reminded me of that too.

Life can change much faster than we expect.

That’s why I’ve come to appreciate the importance of having options.

Not out of fear.

But out of wisdom.

For me, exploring a digital business wasn’t about getting rich quickly.

It was about building something that didn’t depend entirely on one source of income or all of my time.

Something that could grow gradually alongside what I was already doing.

A small step today may not seem like much.

But sometimes the seeds we plant today become the shelter we need tomorrow.

My girlfriend may be facing a difficult season right now.
I’m praying for her, and trusting that God will see her through this season.

And perhaps this conversation was also a reminder for me not to take today for granted.

Thankful for the reminder.

And thankful to God for His provision through every season of life.

If you’ve ever wondered whether it’s wise to have a Plan B, feel free to drop me a message.

One day, ur child no longer needs u the way they used to.

One day, ur parents need u more than ever.

And somehow, both can happen faster than we expect.

While photographing this Black-naped Tern and its chick, it reminded me how easily we tell ourselves…

“I’ll do it next year.”

“I’ll think about it when things are better.”

“I’ll start when the timing is right.”

But life doesn’t always wait.

These past few months, with my mum’s surgery, caregiving responsibilities, and watching my son prepare for the next stage of life, I’ve been reminded how quickly seasons can change.

Many people are quietly carrying similar thoughts too.

Retirement planning.

Rising expenses.

Aging parents.

Wondering if one source of income will be enough for the years ahead.

I’m thankful I started exploring a digital business alongside what I was already doing.

Not coz everything is figured out.

But coz I’d rather start taking small steps today than keep waiting for “someday”.

If you’ve been thinking about creating an additional income stream for the future, perhaps it’s worth exploring what options are available.

Sometimes a small step today can make a difference a few years down the road.

For this little reminder from nature, I’m thankful.

And most of all, thankful to God for His grace through every season. 🙏

Ever notice how we can spend hours working…

but feel guilty spending a few hours resting? 😅

Throwback to a recent JB trip 😊

A few hours of massage.

Hair wash.

And my son’s first hair spa experience 😂

And somehow the hardest part wasn’t making time for it…

It was allowing myself to enjoy it without feeling guilty.

Many of us are actually quite good at taking care of everyone else.

We make time for work.

We make time for responsibilities.

We make time for other people’s needs.

But when it comes to slowing down ourselves…

sometimes we feel like we should be doing something more productive.

Maybe that’s why simple moments like this feel even more precious nowadays.

A few hours to rest.

A few hours to laugh.

A few hours to recharge.

As I grow older, I’ve come to appreciate that life isn’t only about getting more done.

It’s also about making space to enjoy the journey along the way.

One thing I appreciate about this digital business journey is the flexibility it gives me to slowly build something alongside life, instead of feeling like everything revolves around work alone.

I’m thankful to God for opening this door for me.

Can building at my own pace 😊

How about u?

When was the last time u took a break and truly enjoyed it without feeling guilty?

If having a little more flexibility in life appeals to u, PM me “BALANCE” 😊
Happy to share more.
