a legacy I can proudly pass down to my son, not just a job.

I’m a freelance graphic designer exploring digital entrepreneurship. After years of creative work and life lessons, I’m now building something more flexible and future-focused — a digital business that allows me to work from anywhere and create lasting impact. Here, I share insights on creativity, growth, and the freedom to start again — no matter where you are in your journey.

Sometimes the biggest blessing isn’t the opportunity.

It’s the people God places along the way. ❤️

Finally caught up with my coach and mentor for a walk today after not seeing them for quite a while.

I’m the oldest among the three of us 😂 and when it comes to digital business, they definitely know much more than I do.

Yet they’ve always been so patient with me.

When I don’t understand, they explain.

When I move slower, they wait.

When life gets in the way, they understand.

And today… they literally had to wait for me. 😂

My knee has been giving me problems since last Sunday.

It felt much better these past two days, so I happily thought I could walk again.

Who knows… a few kilometres into our 14km walk, the pain came back. 😓

I struggled through the rest of it.

And when we finally reached the hawker centre, they told me to sit and rest while they went to get drinks, lunch & dessert for me.

It’s a small gesture…

but somehow it touched me. ❤️

Coz it reminded me of how they’ve been walking alongside me in this business too.

Patient when I’m slow.

Supportive when I’m struggling.

And never making me feel like I have to figure everything out alone.

When I first started exploring digital business, I was worried about whether I could understand all these new things.

Looking back now…

I’m thankful I didn’t have to learn everything by myself.

Sometimes we focus so much on what an opportunity can give us…

that we forget the people we meet along the way can be a blessing too.

Today I’m just simply grateful.

For the friendship.

For the guidance.

For their patience.

And for the people God has placed in my journey. ❤️

We may walk at different speeds… but having the right people beside us makes the journey a little easier.

By God’s grace. ❤️

AI trend? I will follow. 😂

Digital business? I thought about it for MONTHS.

Saw people playing with this AI personality trend, so of coz I also tried. 😂

Apparently my colour is BLUE. 💙

Calm, thoughtful, loyal, intuitive…

Okay lah, some quite true according to those who know me🤣

But this line caught me:

“You don’t just follow the tide — you understand its rhythm.”

That actually sounds a little like me.

I may follow trends for fun…

but when it comes to something that affects my future, I don’t jump in just coz everyone else is doing it.

I’ve people ask:

“Is digital business a trend now?”

Maybe it is.

And if the trend is getting more people to think about building another source of income alongside what they’re already doing…

I think that’s a meaningful trend to have.

That’s also why I eventually started.

Not coz everyone was doing it.

But coz I realised I needed to start thinking differently abt my own future.

Looking back…

I’m grateful that God opened this door and gave me the opportunity to learn something I never thought I would be doing.

I don’t know exactly where this journey will take me.

But I’m thankful for the people He has placed along the way…

and for every little step of growth so far. ❤️

Still learning.

Still building.

Still doing things at my own pace. 😂

By God’s grace, one step at a time. ❤️

I’m already busy enough… so why add ONE more thing? 😂

Sometimes I ask myself that too.

I have my freelance design work.

I conduct training.

Recently, I’ve also been busy revamping my Canva slides for a corporate Zoom class.

Then there’s family.

My mum.

And everything else life throws in between.

So why did I still decide to build a digital business?

Because I realised…

Being busy today doesn’t necessarily mean my income is consistent tomorrow.

As a freelancer…

some months are busy.

Some months are quiet.

Training is the same.

I can have several classes one month…

and hardly any the next.

I enjoy both.

And I’m thankful whenever the work comes in.

But after doing this for years…

I started asking myself…

Do I want my future to continue depending only on when the next project or class comes along?

That question stayed with me.

And that’s when building another source of income started making sense.

Not to replace what I’m already doing.

But to build something alongside it.

Something for the longer term.

Something that could eventually give me more choices and flexibility.

So yes…

I added ONE more thing to my already very full plate. 😂

But perhaps this ONE more thing…

could make a difference to my future.

I’m still learning.

Still figuring things out.

Still building.

One step at a time.

By God’s grace. ❤️

I’ve actually missed quite a few business meetings over the past few months.

Not because I wasn’t interested.

Not because I was lazy.

But because life happened.

Freelance work.

Teaching.

Hospital visits.

Looking after my mum.

To be honest…

There was a part of me that wondered…

“Will people think I’m not committed?”

“Will they judge me for falling behind?”

Last night, I finally managed to join another Zoom catch-up with my coach, mentor and business partner.

We shared what we’ve been doing.

The challenges we’ve faced.

And how we can move forward from here.

What I appreciated most was this…

Nobody questioned my commitment.

Nobody judged me for slowing down.

And thankfully…

Nobody was going to “fire” me because life got busy. 😄

It reminded me that everyone goes through different seasons.

Some move faster.

Some need to slow down for a while.

What’s important…

is not giving up completely.

I’m still learning.

Still building.

Still taking one step at a time.

And that’s enough for this season.

By God’s grace. ❤️

Not every path is the easiest.

Today we tried a different hiking route.

12.6km. About 3½ hours.

Ironically…

It felt more tiring than our usual route.

That got me thinking…

Sometimes we choose the harder path…

not because it’s easier.

But because we believe it will lead somewhere different.

That’s exactly how I felt when I decided to explore a digital business.

Learning something new wasn’t easy.

Stepping out of my comfort zone wasn’t easy.

Starting from zero definitely wasn’t easy.

There are still days I wonder if I’m doing things right.

But then I remind myself…

If I keep walking…

I’ll eventually reach somewhere I could never have reached by staying where I was.

I’m not building this because I want an easy life.

I’m building it because I want more choices for the future.

More flexibility.

More time with the people I love.

I’m still learning.

Still building.

Still taking one step at a time.

And I’m okay with that.

By God’s grace. ❤️

💛 Have you ever chosen a harder path because you believed it would lead to a better future?

Today, my youngest learner was 50 years old.

My oldest learner was 86 years old.

A 36-year age gap…

Yet they all came with the same purpose.

To learn something new.

Sometimes we tell ourselves…

“I’m too old.”

“It’s too late.”

“I’m not good with technology.”

But today reminded me…

The biggest barrier is rarely our age.

It’s believing we can no longer learn.

Watching everyone encourage one another…

Celebrate the little wins…

And refuse to give up…

Was honestly more inspiring than anything I taught today.

As a trainer, I may have guided the class.

But as a learner…

I walked away with a reminder that it’s never too late to start something new.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your learning journey. ❤️

Life never asked what I wanted to become.

If someone asked me who I was…

I would’ve answered,

“I’m a graphic designer.”

Today…

I realise I’m so much more than just my job.

Life has a funny way of adding new chapters.

Some I chose.

Some chose me.

Designer.

Trainer.

Caregiver.

Digital business owner.

Bird photography lover.

Nature lover.

Brompton lover.

Traveller.

And yes…

a professional daydreamer too. 😆

Looking back…

I realise we’re not defined by just one title.

We’re shaped by every season we walk through.

Every challenge.

Every responsibility.

Every person we meet.

And every dream we choose not to give up on.

I’m still learning.

Still growing.

Still becoming.

By God’s grace. ❤️

💛 If someone asked you who you are… without mentioning your job… how would you describe yourself?

Put me in front a class of 25 or more learners…

and I’ll happily teach for the whole day.

Ask me to go Live for 3 minutes…

and I’ll probably fumble… or even freeze. 🤣🤣

Funny how fear works.

Yesterday, while listening to our LIVE webinar from the hospital…

I watched several of our business partners step up to share their real-life stories.

Why they started.

How their lives have changed.

And why they continue building this business.

I really admire them.

Not coz they don’t feel nervous.

But coz they chose to show up anyway.

As for me…

I’m still working on it. 😅🤣

Maybe confidence doesn’t come before we begin.

Maybe it grows…

every time we take one small step outside our comfort zone.

One day…

One day… I’ll find the courage!

By God’s grace. ❤️

We spend so much time building our careers…

Building our future…

Looking after our families…

That sometimes…

we forget to make time for the friends who’ve quietly walked through life with us.

Today reminded me how important that is.

An impromptu hike.

A simple birthday breakfast.

Lots of laughter.

Nothing fancy.

Just good conversations.

Somewhere during our chat…

we realised we’ve officially known each other for 40 yrs. 😳

Gosh… where did all those yrs go? 😂

With everything that’s been happening lately…

I’m especially grateful that I still have the flexibility to make time for moments like this.

Over the yrs…

I’ve realised that flexibility has become something I value more and more.

Not just for friendships like this.

But also for the people who matter most.

O glad I decided to build something alongside what I already do.

Not to become busier.

But to create more choices for my future.

Coz making time doesn’t just happen.

Sometimes…

it’s a choice we have to make.

If not now…

when?

But time with the people we treasure is something we can never get back.

Happy Birthday, buddy. ❤️

Here’s to many more years of friendship, laughter and dates.

If having more flexibility for the people who matter is something u’ve been thinking about too…

feel free to drop me a message.

I’d be happy to share my journey. 😊

Went for a walk alone.

So technically…

I was the first. 😆

By the end of the trail…

I was also the last.

As usual. 🤣

I’ve learnt something over the years.

Whether it’s hiking…

running…

or building a business…

I’m rarely the fastest.

And that’s okay.

Because life isn’t a race.

Some people walk faster.

Some people recover faster.

Some people start earlier.

Some people achieve things sooner.

We all have different journeys.

What matters isn’t whether we’re first or last.

What matters is that we don’t stop.

I’m just thankful…

I’m still moving forward.

One step at a time.

At my own pace.

By God’s grace. ❤️
