Samostan Kostanjevica nad Novo Gorico je več kot samo samostan. Je edinstven prostor, kjer začutite zgodovino in duh mešanja različnih kultur, seveda pa boste vzljubili tudi vrtnice bourbonke, ki so tu doma.
Skriva pa še eno, zdaj že odkrito skrivnost, 350 let staro vinsko klet, ki smo jo poimenovali Vinska klet velikih vin prijateljstva in miru.
In tu pod starodavnimi kamnitimi oboki, kjer odmeva dediščina cesarice Marije Terezije, lahko okušate vina, pridelana po standardih prve CRU klasifikacije na svetu iz leta 1787. Ta klasifikacija, odkrita v arhivih grofov Formentini in Attems je postavila temelje evropskemu vinarstvu, skoraj stoletje pred Burgundijo.
Zato smo bili še toliko bolj navdušeni, da smo tu lahko organizirali prvi festival vin s pridihom vrtnic. Vzdušje in pozitivni odzivi so nas prepričali, da bo vinska klet v prihodnje redno priča podobnim dogodkom. Za dogodek se zahvaljujemo predvsem vsem vinarjem in obiskovalcem.
Predvsem pa ste vsi vabljeni, da obiščete vinsko klet, kjer vas bomo popeljali skozi vinsko degustacijo s pridihom zgodovine in velikih vin.

The Kostanjevica Monastery above Nova Gorica is more than just a monastery.
It is a unique place where you can feel history and the spirit of blending cultures. Of course, you will also fall in love with the Bourbon roses that feel right at home here.
However, it hides another, now uncovered secret—a 350-year-old wine cellar, which we have named the Wine Cellar of Great Wines of Friendship and Peace.
Here, under the ancient stone arches where the heritage of Empress Maria Theresa echoes, you can taste wines produced according to the standards of the world's first Premier Cru classification from 1787.
This classification, discovered in the archives of the Counts of Formentini and Attems, laid the foundations of European winemaking nearly a century before Burgundy.
This made us even more excited to organize the first wine festival with a touch of roses here. The atmosphere and positive feedback have convinced us that the wine cellar will regularly host similar events in the future.
We would like to express our gratitude for the event primarily to all the winemakers and visitors. Most of all, you are all invited to visit our wine cellar, where we will take you through a wine tasting infused with history and great wines.
