The Grand Wax Patchwork Boubou is the most ambitious piece in the Afrizar collection. Every wax square hand-assembled represents a pattern, a region, a culture : Ankara flowers from Nigeria, Kente spirals from Ghana, Bogolan geometrics from Mali, wild prints from Cameroon, paisleys from Senegal, batiks from Côte d'Ivoire. No square identical to another. No space left empty. The entire African continent, sewn together.
The cut is generous — wide, long, ample. A silhouette that welcomes all bodies, all sizes, all women. It is worn with authority or with ease. It adapts to whoever carries it.
The triple-strand ebony prayer beads, heavy and dense, ground all that brilliance. The short hand-braided beanie with black pompon completes without competing. The wide leather cuffs close the look quietly.
