Agriculture is at the heart of every nation. It feeds people, supports families, creates jobs, and keeps economies moving. Every meal on our tables begins with the hard work of farmers.

Agribusiness takes that work even further. It connects farming with business by adding value through processing, transportation, marketing, trade, and investment. It helps farmers reach bigger markets, creates opportunities for entrepreneurs, and strengthens local economies.

For Somalia, agriculture and agribusiness represent one of the country's greatest opportunities for sustainable growth. By supporting farmers, encouraging innovation, and creating an environment where businesses can grow, we can improve food security, increase employment, and build a more resilient economy.

The Somali Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (SNCC) congratulates Somalia’s representatives to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) following their official induction and orientation programme in Arusha, Tanzania.

This development marks another important step in Somalia’s integration into the East African Community (EAC) and strengthens the country’s participation in regional dialogue, economic cooperation, trade, investment, and policy development.

The EAC brings together Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, representing a combined market of more than 300 million people. This presents significant opportunities for Somali businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, and young people.

At SNCC, we view Somalia’s participation in regional institutions not only as a political milestone, but also as an economic opportunity. Strong representation and active engagement within EAC institutions can contribute to increased trade, investment flows, business partnerships, skills development, and job creation across the region.

History shows that those who recognize opportunities early are often the first to benefit from them. Many opportunities are initially overlooked, only to be appreciated years later when others have already positioned themselves to take advantage of them.

For this reason, SNCC has started preparing practical information and resources to help Somali youth, entrepreneurs, and businesses better understand and benefit from opportunities across the EAC region. This includes information on employment platforms, business networks, investment opportunities, training programmes, scholarships, trade forums, and regional partnerships.

We look forward to sharing these resources with the public in the coming weeks.

Energy and Renewable Energy .

We use energy every day without even thinking about it. When we switch on a light, charge our phone, cook a meal, or travel somewhere, energy is always there helping us.

But some of the energy sources we depend on, like oil, coal, and natural gas, will not last forever and can also damage our environment. That is why finding cleaner ways to produce energy has become very important.

Renewable energy comes from natural sources like the sun, wind, and water. These sources are always around us and can provide clean power with less harm to nature.

I believe renewable energy is more than just technology; it is a way of taking care of our planet and making sure future generations have a healthier place to live.

The choices we make today can create a better and cleaner tomorrow.
