The Centre for Peace, Research and Development otherwise known as CEPRAD is a non-governmental, profit-making organization which aims at promoting and building peace through research, consultancy and capacity building trainings. The founders of Centre for Peace Research and Development having seen unkind realities which are being experienced all over the Africa continent as a result of conflict an
d the consequent violence costing huge and atrocious devastation of this region as a result of proxy wars have decided to form this organization. The group has the same feeling of developing the horn of Africa region through training and research to come up with indigenous peace-building initiatives as well as development theories and practices. CEPRAD, as an organization involved in conflict resolution, peace building, governance, the alleviation of poverty, seeks to implement successful relief and development programs through its commitment to best practice and the quality of work of its staff and that of local partner agencies supported by CEPRAD.
