We have successfully completed an intensive Humanitarian Fundraising and Project Proposal Development Training, conducted over three days (26–28), for 35 humanitarian professionals drawn from different national NGOs operating in Jubbaland.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝟑-𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝟐𝟔–𝟐𝟖) 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭
𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢 𝐍𝐆𝐎𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲:

1. Humanitarian principles & Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS)
2. Risk management, donor compliance, and alignment with the humanitarian reset agenda
3. Humanitarian analysis and needs prioritization
4. Fundraising strategy plan for national NGOs
5. Writing donor-responsive proposals, work plan and budgets.

The training was commissioned by the Somali NGO Consortium (SNC) and implemented by SITCO, using a participatory, context-driven approach designed specifically for the Somali humanitarian landscape, with strong emphasis on localization, accountability, and practical application.

Beyond theory, participants worked on real case studies, scenarios, and proposal components they can immediately apply within their organizations.

We thank SNC for the trust and partnership, and we commend all participants for their strong engagement, critical discussions, and commitment to strengthening nationally led humanitarian action in Jubbaland.
