At Juba Strategic Consulting, we not only complete your assignments but also accompany you on your advocacy journey through platforms or forums involving key policymakers, utilizing the findings generated from the research, assessment, or evaluation you have entrusted to us.

At the just-concluded Association of Gynecologists and Obstetricians of South Sudan-AGOSS 4th Annual Scientific Conference, which was attended by key stakeholders, including the National Minister of Health, Hon. Sarah Cleto, MP, and Chair of Health and Population in the RTNLA, Hon. Dr. Benjamin Malek, DGs, UN Agencies, and many other health stakeholders, we presented findings from the study "Prevalence and Drivers of Unintended Pregnancy and Unsafe Abortion and Contraceptive Use in South Sudan." This study was conducted on behalf of the South Sudan Ministry of Health with funding from the WHO.

Among the findings we shared, we were very pleased to see strong recommendations regarding contraceptive use, unsafe abortion, teenage pregnancy, and potential future legal considerations on unsafe abortion. We hope these recommendations will be prioritized quickly to reduce unintended pregnancies, unsafe abortions, and teenage pregnancies, while increasing contraceptive use, ultimately lowering maternal mortality from the current 692 per 100,000 to a more reasonable level.

Our sincere gratitude goes to the WHO - Republic of South Sudan, Association of Gynecologists and Obstetricians of South Sudan, the Ministry of Health - Republic of South Sudan, UNFPA South Sudan, South Sudan NGO Forum, and other humanitarian and development agencies, both within and outside South Sudan.
We also thank our dedicated team of researchers, who work tirelessly to deliver excellent results.
