একটি টিকিট কিনলে আরেকটি ফ্রি দেবে ইথিওপিয়ান এয়ারলাইন্স।
ঢাকা থেকে তাদের সব আন্তর্জাতিক গন্তব্যের একটি টিকিট কিনলে একটি ফ্রি টিকিট অফার ঘোষণা করেছে ইথিওপিয়ান এয়ারলাইন্স। বাংলাদেশের বাজারে আনুষ্ঠানিক যাত্রা শুরুর উদযাপনের অংশ হিসেবে এ বিশেষ অফার ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে।
২ নভেম্বর থেকে এয়ারলাইন্সটি ঢাকা থেকে ইথিওপিয়ার আদ্দিস আবাবা রুটে ফ্লাইট পরিচালনা শুরু করবে। প্রাথমিকভাবে সপ্তাহে ৫টি ফ্লাইট পরিচালনা করবে এয়ারলাইন্সটি।
এক বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে ইথিওপিয়ান এয়ারলাইন্স ঢাকা জানায়, বাংলাদেশে যাত্রা উপলক্ষ্যে ইথিওপিয়ান এয়ারলাইন্সের এই অফারটি ৩ নভেম্বর থেকে ১৮ নভেম্বর পর্যন্ত চলবে। যাত্রীদের ২০ অক্টোবরের মধ্যে টিকিট কিনতে হবে।
ইথিওপিয়ান এয়ারলাইন্সের বাংলাদেশে জেনারেল সেলস এজেন্ট রিদম গ্রুপের ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক সোহাগ হোসেন বলেন, আমরা আমাদের যাত্রীদের জন্য একটি আকর্ষণীয় অফার দেওয়ার পরিকল্পনা করেছিলাম এবং আমরা বিশ্বাস করি এই প্রচারটি বাংলাদেশি যাত্রীদের স্টার অ্যালায়েন্স এয়ারলাইন্সের বিশ্বমানের সেবা উপভোগ করতে উৎসাহিত করবে।
একটি কিনলে একটি ফ্রি টিকিট অফার প্রসঙ্গে তিনি জানান, অফারটি উপভোগের জন্য যাত্রীদের ২০ অক্টোবরের মধ্যে টিকিট কিনতে হবে এবং ১৮ নভেম্বরের মধ্যে ঢাকার ফ্লাইটে উড়তে হবে, তবে যাত্রীরা ফেরার তারিখ নিজের ইচ্ছায় নির্ধারণ করতে পারবেন।
ইথিওপিয়ান এয়ারলাইন্সের বাংলাদেশ কান্ট্রি ম্যানেজার ওয়াহান্নেস বিকেলে জানান, নতুন এই রুটটি বাংলাদেশি প্রবাসীদের জন্য সুবিধাজনক সংযোগ প্রদান করবে। আদ্দিস আবাবার মাধ্যমে ইউরোপ এবং উত্তর আমেরিকার প্রধান শহরগুলোতে সাশ্রয়ী ভাড়ায় পৌঁছানোর সুযোগ তৈরি হবে। ইথিওপিয়ান এয়ারলাইন্স আফ্রিকার সবচেয়ে বড় এয়ারলাইন নেটওয়ার্ক। এই রুটে অত্যাধুনিক বোয়িং৭৮৭ ড্রিমলাইনার দিয়ে সেবা পরিচালনা করবে এয়ারলাইন্সটি।
তিনি বলেন, চাহিদা বাড়ার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে ইথিওপিয়ান এয়ারলাইন্স প্রতিদিনের ফ্লাইট সংখ্যা বাড়ানোর পরিকল্পনা করেছে। ঢাকার নতুন রুটটি এয়ারলাইন্সের বৃহৎ নেটওয়ার্ককে সম্প্রসারিত করবে, যার মধ্যে আফ্রিকার ৬৩টিরও বেশি গন্তব্য এবং বিশ্বব্যাপী প্রায় ১৫০টি গন্তব্য অন্তর্ভুক্ত রয়েছে।
যাত্রী, গন্তব্য এবং আয়ের দিক থেকে ১৪৭টি উড়োজাহাজ নিয়ে ইথিওপিয়ান এয়ারলাইন্স আফ্রিকার সবচেয়ে বড় এয়ারলাইন্স। এটি বিশ্বের চতুর্থ বৃহত্তম এয়ারলাইন্স হিসেবে স্বীকৃত, যার সবচেয়ে বেশি সংখ্যক দেশে ফ্লাইট পরিচালনা করে। দক্ষিণ এশিয়ায় ইতোমধ্যেই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করা এই এয়ারলাইন্স বেঙ্গালুরু, চেন্নাই, দিল্লি, মুম্বাই এবং করাচিতে ফ্লাইট পরিচালনা করছে এবং ঢাকায় তাদের সম্প্রসারণ এশিয়ায় উপস্থিতি শক্তিশালী করার বৃহত্তর কৌশলের অংশ।

Ethiopian Airlines has announced a free ticket offer on purchase of one ticket to all their international destinations from Dhaka. This special offer has been announced as part of the official launch celebration in the Bangladesh market.
From November 2, the airline will start operating flights from Dhaka to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Initially, the airline will operate 5 flights a week.
In a notification, Ethiopian Airlines Dhaka said, on the occasion of travel to Bangladesh, this offer of Ethiopian Airlines will run from November 3 to November 18. Passengers have to buy tickets by October 20.
Sohag Hossain, Managing Director, Rhythm Group, General Sales Agent of Ethiopian Airlines in Bangladesh said, “We planned to offer an attractive offer to our passengers and we believe this promotion will encourage Bangladeshi passengers to enjoy the world class service of Star Alliance Airlines.
Regarding the buy one get one free ticket offer, he said, to enjoy the offer, the passengers have to buy the ticket before October 20 and fly on Dhaka flight before November 18, but the passengers can decide the return date as per their wish.
Wahannes Bickel, Bangladesh Country Manager of Ethiopian Airlines, said this new route will provide convenient connections for Bangladeshi expatriates. Addis Ababa will provide access to major cities in Europe and North America at affordable fares. Ethiopian Airlines is the largest airline network in Africa. The airline will operate the service on this route with modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
He said, with the increase in demand, Ethiopian Airlines plans to increase the number of daily flights. The new Dhaka route will expand the airline's large network, which includes more than 63 destinations in Africa and around 150 destinations worldwide.
Ethiopian Airlines is Africa's largest airline in terms of passengers, destinations and revenue with 147 aircraft. It is recognized as the fourth largest airline in the world, operating flights to the largest number of countries. Already an important player in South Asia, the airline operates flights to Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Karachi, and its expansion to Dhaka is part of a larger strategy to strengthen its presence in Asia.
