Thailand continues to advance its implementation of the OECD Pillar Two framework.

On 16 June 2026, Thailand's Cabinet approved key measures to facilitate the exchange of Global Minimum Tax (GloBE) information, including expanding the scope of the Multilateral Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters (MAC) and approving participation in the GloBE Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement (GloBE MCAA). These developments will support international tax transparency and enable more efficient GloBE Information Return (GIR) reporting for in-scope multinational enterprise groups.

With the first filing obligations approaching in 2027, multinational groups operating in Thailand should begin assessing their reporting readiness, compliance processes, and data requirements to ensure alignment with Thailand's Top-up Tax regime.

Is your audit report telling investors enough?

Under the new ISA 570 (Revised 2024), silence is no longer an option. Auditors must now provide explicit going concern conclusions, flag borderline "close-call" situations, and verify that management's recovery plans are not just feasible — but genuinely backed by intent and resources.

Effective for periods beginning on or after 15 December 2026, these changes raise the bar for audit quality across capital markets.
