24h rowing event at last weekend (avoid last photo if you don’t like feet or blisters)
Started rowing Friday, 1pm. Finished Saturday, 1pm.
Teams of 4.
Furthest distance wins.
No prize.
Just km’s and some good old fashioned WORK.
Proud to say the boys ( .underwood , ) and I managed to come 1st place with a distance of 344km rowed in the 24hrs
Shout out to Zac for setting a demonic pace on our very first round which set the tone for the entire event.
Sam for inspiring all of us having previously weighed 160kg and being the #1 DAWG running an ultra marathon the day after the 24h row
And George for being the instigator dropping the event in our sauna group chat which led to the whole thing even happening in the first place.
Grateful to have been in a team of savages who all brought that DAWG with them to the event.
Collectively we maintained an average pace of 2:02/500m across the entire 24 hours and rowed the equivalent distance of Thailand to Indonesia (a 4.5 hour flight)
Takeaways for next time - bring more socks and underwear, wear shoes that won’t cause blisters and that’s about it.
We were told at the start we’d never be able to maintain the pace we were starting off with…
We were told we were sweating too much to replace the fluids and would crash and burn half way…
None of that was true.
The moral of the story?
All things are possible WHEN YOU GOT THAT DAWG IN YA 🐾
There were some properly euphoric stages during the event and it got me looking forward to stepping into some other disgusting hurt lockers in 2026.

Until next time
