I am a big supporter of “unplanned” English lessons.
I don’t mean 90 minutes of random, structureless chatting between trainer and trainee.
I mean 90 minutes that take us wherever they take us, while I provide feedback on your vocabulary, pronunciation, and tone of voice.

To be clear, the majority of the training I provide to professionals in Thailand *is* planned. It’s focused on the development of very specific communication skills:
Presentations, negotiations, leading meetings, managing teams, etc. It is corporate English communication training in the truest sense.
But some of the training I provide *is not* planned around those specific kinds of skills.
Instead, it is free-flowing and natural, with the emphasis on conversation ability.

Conversation ability is an underserved area of professional development in Thailand.
Maybe you yourself are someone who believes that you’ve got what it takes to maintain a fluent conversation with farang in a workplace setting… but you’re still just a bit unsure.
Ask yourself this: Would you be comfortable chatting with your French, German, or Scottish boss if you met them in the breakroom?
(Okay, that’s kind of a trick question: NOBODY is comfortable speaking with their boss who comes from Glasgow!)
Ask yourself another question: Would you accept a promotion to a new position with a much higher salary if English conversation with clients was a major part of the job?

In many cases, the answer to those two questions is “no.” And I think it’s because of a feeling like รู้สึกอึดอัด…
…something like รู้สึกอึดอัดเพราะไม่มีโอกาสได้พูดภาษาอังกฤษ.
That feeling is a result of not having had enough opportunity to “use” English. You haven’t had enough opportunity to practice speaking English.
I can provide you with that opportunity: Training that’s less focused on specific Business English skills, more focused on “professional conversation activation.”
Actually, that’s a term we use quite a bit at ECSC:
→ “Let’s activate your English ability.”
→ “Let’s activate the English inside your company.”
It’s already within you. It’s probably just napping.
So let’s activate it, and give you a massive confidence boost in the process!
