Spot the Growth Killer (Level: SME)
Most business failures aren’t sudden. They are quiet. They sit in your CRM, your meetings, and your expansion maps for months before the "crash" actually happens.
I’ve put together 3 scenarios common in scaling SMEs. Each one has a subtle, fatal flaw that most founders miss until it’s too late.

The Challenge: Can you spot the "Gap" in each part?
Scenario 1: The Dashboard.
Scenario 2: The Strategy Meeting.
Scenario 3: The Market Expansion Plan.

Drop your answers in the comments:

I’ll be jumping in to confirm who got it right (and why these "small" issues are actually scaling nightmares).
Let’s see who has the eye for strategy. 👇

Most founders don’t start out as "The Visionary" or "The Architect."
We start as the person fixing the Wi-Fi while trying to close a seed round.
After 3 years of building, scaling, and—let’s be honest—making every mistake in the book, we’ve identified the 3 CEO archetypes that every leader cycles through.

Type 1: The "I’ll Do It Myself" CEO 🛠️ You’re the bottleneck. You’re soldering the circuit boards, editing the copy, and micromanaging the font size. You think you’re saving time. In reality? You’re killing your scale.

Type 2: The "Too Many Ideas, No Ex*****on" CEO 💡. You live in 2045. You have 47 open tabs and a new "Quantum Leap" strategy every Tuesday. Your team is inspired—but they’re also exhausted because nothing ever actually reaches the finish line.

Type 3: The "Finally Structured" CEO 🏆 The endgame. You stopped fire-fighting and started future-building. You have dashboards for your dashboards, and for the first time in months... the business runs even when you aren't in the room.

The truth? Most of us are a messy mix of all three. But the goal is always the same: Stop working IN the business so you can finally work ON it.
Be honest with me in the comments... which one are you today?

Most people think growth is about adding. I think it’s about subtracting.

If I lost my network, my capital, and my current projects tomorrow, I wouldn’t be panicked. I’d be focused.
Why? Because most SMEs aren't held back by a lack of opportunity. They are held back by the weight of their own complexity.

We over-complicate our offers. We over-hire to fix broken processes. We try to "compete" instead of "position."
If I were starting from zero today, I would move much slower in the beginning to move much faster at the end. I’d build a business that is a "category of one" rather than another name in a crowded inbox.

The 3 pillars of the restart:
1⃣Niche over Network: Solve one expensive problem for one specific person.
2⃣Gap over Feature: Don’t be better. Be the only logical choice.
3⃣Systems over People: Build the machine before you hire the operators.

You don’t need to lose everything to start making these moves. You just need the discipline to stop doing what isn't scaling.

If you had to wipe the slate clean today, what’s the first thing you’d stop doing?

Hard truth: Most SMEs aren't failing because they lack opportunity.
They are failing because they are chasing myths.

𝟭. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗲: 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰.If your conversion process is broken, 1,000 new leads just means 1,000 more people knowing your process is broken. Fix the funnel before you turn on the tap.

𝟮. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝗲: 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘆 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝘅 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀. It just makes the mess more expensive. Build the process first. Then hire the person to run it.

𝟯. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗲: 𝗔𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗿, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲. If your organic growth is flat, ads will only help you lose money faster. You don't need a bigger budget. You need a better offer.

Strategy isn't about doing more. It’s about being right.
Which of these lies have you told yourself lately? Let’s get real in the comments. 👇

The texts my clients send at 11 PM.

In public, everything is "scaling." In private, it’s usually a different story.
I spent the last week reviewing messages from SME founders across the region. The industry changes, but the anxieties stay the same.
They don't talk about "synergy" or "pivoting." They talk about the gap between effort and results.

In today’s carousel, I’m sharing the 3 most common messages I receive.
If you’ve said these out loud (or just thought them), you aren't failing. You’ve just hit the ceiling of your current system.
Swipe through to see if your "secret" problem is on the list.

Most CEOs are too close to the problem to see the solution.

You’re trying to scale a "busy" team, a "leaky" funnel, or a "messy" system. I’ve spent years helping SMEs in the EMEA/MENA regions navigate these exact traps.
I’m selecting 3 founders to jump on a 1-on-1 strategy audit with me; totally complimentary.

To enter:
1. Comment "AUDIT" below.
2. Tell me one goal you have for the next 6 months.
I’ll pick 3 people who are ready to move from "hustle" to "systems."

3 Business Problems. Explained in plain English.
Stop drowning in spreadsheets. If your business is struggling, it’s usually one of these three things:
📉 Churn: The leaky bucket.
💸 Burn Rate: The fading runway.
🧩 Product-Market Fit: The mismatch.

I’ve broken them down in the slides below. Simple, actionable, and vital for any founder looking to scale.

They call it "scale." We call it "managing the chaos with a smile."

3 years ago, ANAVA started with one laptop and zero clients.
We thought it would be all clean strategies and minimalist offices. The reality? WhatsApp pings at midnight, last-minute pivots, and becoming professional fire-fighters.

But truth is? We wouldn't trade the chaos for anything.
Because every controlled crash taught us something no business school ever could.
3 years in. Still standing. Still building. Still figuring it out.

SME owners, tell us: what's one 'reality' of your business that isn't on your LinkedIn profile? Let's get real below.

Most startup problems don’t look like problems at first.
They look like:
– “People are interested, but not buying”
– “We’re doing a lot… but nothing is really moving”
– “Some weeks are great, others are just… off”
So let’s make this simple.
👇 Pick a number: 1, 2, or 3
We’ll tell you what might actually be slowing your business down.
(No overthinking — just go with your instinct)
Curious to see how accurate this gets 👀

3 years ago, we started with a simple idea:
help businesses make sense of the chaos.

Since then…
we’ve seen what works, what doesn’t,
and everything in between.

This month, we’re sharing what 3 years actually taught us —
the good, the messy, and the things no one talks about.
