⚠️🪸 T&T is officially at a Coral Bleaching Alert Level 2 (the most severe level)🪸⚠️

This means that sea surface temperatures are persisting above their bleaching threshold and is very likely to result in widespread coral bleaching and mortality.

Warm temperatures also leave corals vulnerable to disease outbreaks.

This Bleaching Alert Level 2 is expected to continue over the next three months.

The benthos is a very unique community with organisms having strange, unique and down right scifi looking adaptations for survival. Below is a hairy frog fish using a modified appendage which resembles a polychaete worm to attract its prey.
