Your ideal customer is not “everybody”

“Anybody who has money”

“My ideal customer is everybody!”

A prospect told me this on a call I had with them earlier.

She said that she serves, kids, children, old people, wealthy people, you name it.

I then stopped her and said ok. Who mostly comes in men or women.

Women.

Ok. Which type of woman spends the most money with you?

Women 38-55….

Then she went on to expand…married or divorced, has their own home, etc.

I asked her..ahh..are we getting somewhere?

She said “yes” with a smile 🙂

You see each of these women pays her almost $ 8k/mo each and she has 10-15 of those clients per month.

So I asked her, if you were to just double those types of customers alone, what would her business look like?

She said insane!

And that’s where you should start.

Many of you get caught up in trying to speak to everybody, and it ends up falling on deaf ears.

So, although yes you can serve “everybody”, however in your messaging when marketing you need to speak to one person at a time.

People are at different stages in their lives when they need your product or services.

Incorporate it.

Find a few ideal avatars and scale to the moon.

The moral of the story is, if you're not equipped in a war, you'll always lose, even if you're a better fighter.

There are solar companies who do a worse job than you, doing more deals.

Their customer service sucks, and they're very transactional.
