Trinidad and Tobago cyclists wrapped up the Copa Chile de Ciclismo de Pista #1 in Santiago on a high, with the women’s endurance riders leading a strong final-day showing at the Velodromo de Peñalolén.
Teniel Campbell delivered a standout performance, winning gold in the women’s elimination race after earlier securing silver in the points race. USA-based teammate Alexi Ramirez added bronze in the elimination and silver in the points race, giving T&T a double podium presence across endurance events.
In the sprint disciplines, Njisane Phillip claimed gold in the men’s keirin, while Makaira Wallace powered to victory in the women’s individual sprint after topping qualifying earlier in the competition.
T&T closed the day with six medals and a total of nine across the two-day meet, with all riders set to return for Copa Chile de Ciclismo de Pista #2 at the same venue.
