The ROOTED IN COMMUNITY initiative was a one day event held in Quarry Village to revitalize the traditional practice of planting 🪴 on the Corpus Christi holiday, by providing residents with Free seeds and seedlings to establish sustainable home gardens.

The event featured UWI BIOPHYT, YD Harvest and Vashties Seedlings as additional resources to assist the community in setting up their home gardens.

By empowering residents to produce their own food, we sort to directly address the national priority of food security and promote healthy organic eating.
