On 13th August 2026, Studley Park Enterprise Limited (SPEL) proudly welcomed True Start Learning Centre Academic Vacation Camp.

A group of young visitors for an exciting and educational tour of our quarry operations @ Explore True Start Learning Center

The children experienced their very first quarry blast, witnessed impressive demonstrations of our heavy machinery and equipment, and toured both our Asphalt Plant and Nordberg Plant.

Although they were young, their enthusiasm, curiosity, and excitement were evident throughout the visit.

At SPEL, we believe that inspiring young minds today helps build the workforce of tomorrow. By exposing children to the world of mining, engineering and industrial operations, we are helping them to understand the importance of these industries and the opportunities they can offer in the future.

It was a pleasure hosting these bright young visitors, and we are delighted that they enjoyed being part of the SPEL experience. We look forward to welcoming them again!

Special thanks to Mr. Gordon Richards, Mr. Adrian De Souza, Ms.Shi-Anne Lewis, Mr. Earl Wilson, Mr. Corey Ince, Mr. Brendon Wafe, Mr. Ackim Hector, Mr. Konneil Jones and Mr. Emanuel Stephen.

A Sustainable Future for Tobago's Infrastructure

Studley Park Enterprise Limited (SPEL) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI), formalised by CARIRI Chief Executive Officer, Hans-Erich Schulz, and SPEL Director, Dr Christian Virgil. This strategic partnership marks another significant step towards sustainable infrastructure development in Tobago through innovation, research, and environmental stewardship.

Studley Park Enterprise Limited (SPEL) is proud to partner with CARIRI - The Caribbean Industrial Research Institute in advancing the use of rubber crumb technology in Tobago.

Through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), this collaboration will support the development of rubberized asphalt for infrastructure projects in Tobago, utilising material produced at CARIRI's Rubber Crumb Pilot Plant.

πŸ’‘ INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY

STUDLEY PARK ENTERPRISE LIMITED (SPEL),
is actively advancing initiatives to improve the performance and sustainability of our asphalt production processes through the incorporation of recycled materials into our Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).

As part of this commitment, SPEL is developing and implementing a reliable asphalt mix design that incorporates crumb rubber as a modifier. This initiative supports sustainable construction practices throughout Trinidad and Tobago while contributing to the growth of local expertise and capacity within the asphalt and materials testing sector.

Through this project, STUDLEY PARK ENTERPRISE LIMITED (SPEL) aims to:

βœ”οΈ Develop an effective mix design methodology for crumb rubber-modified Hot Mix Asphalt using either the dry or wet process, as appropriate.

βœ”οΈ Determine the optimum crumb rubber content and gradation compatible with our aggregate sources and plant capabilities.

βœ”οΈ Conduct laboratory and plant trials to evaluate key performance characteristics, including stability, durability, workability, and resistance to rutting and cracking.

βœ”οΈ Review and interpret trial results, providing technical recommendations and adjustments prior to full-scale production.

At SPEL, innovation and sustainability go hand in hand as we continue building stronger, more resilient infrastructure for the future.

πŸ’™πŸ’š INTRODUCING THE SPEL ELITE SPORTS TEAM πŸ’šπŸ’™

At Studley Park Enterprise Limited (SPEL), we believe that investing in our people goes beyond the workplace. It means creating opportunities for growth, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and fostering a culture built on teamwork, discipline, and excellence.

With this vision, our General Manager, Mr. Christian Virgil and SPEL proudly established the SPEL Elite Sports Team, bringing together male and female employees from across the organisation who share a passion for fitness, perseverance, and personal development.

This initiative reflects SPEL's commitment to employee wellness while strengthening the bonds that unite us as one team.
What began as a fitness initiative quickly evolved into a family. Through countless training sessions, early mornings, challenging workouts, and unwavering support for one another, these individuals have developed a spirit of unity that extends far beyond competition.

On 19th July 2026, the SPEL Elite Sports Team proudly participated in its first ever Venture Sports 5K Obstacle Course Competition at the Buccoo Facility. In an outstanding debut performance, the team captured 1st Place in the Large Team Category, recording the fastest overall time in their division. As if that wasn't enough, they also went on to secure 1st Place in the Tug of War Competition, demonstrating the strength, determination, and teamwork that define the SPEL spirit.
