luXbeacon訊號覆蓋範圍最遠可達100米，一般室內應用已很足夠。其導師、學系助理教授許丕文表示，現時GPS如用在車輛導航上，發送頻率約每7秒一次，而luXbeacon可做到每秒一次，足足快近7倍，如用在快速移動定位，或加強訊號的情況下，還能做到每秒發送50次。
