Join us at the Eighth Global Creative Industries Conference for the book launch of Legal Pluralism in Qing China: Transplantation and Transformation (Brill, 2024) by Dr. Max WL Wong!

In this fascinating new book, Dr. Wong explores the complexities of legal pluralism under the Qing dynasty (1644-1911). He discusses how traditional Chinese legal culture incorporated diverse normative orders alongside the state legal system, creating a unique blend that shaped political and social control in Qing China.

Exciting news! We are extending the abstract submission deadline to 19th July 2024 and the venue has been changed to Osaka University.

We are thrilled to invite scholars, researchers, practitioners, postgraduate, and undergraduate students from various disciplines in humanities, education, social sciences, and business to participate in the Eighth Global Creative Industries Conference. This exciting event will now be held at Osaka University, Japan, on 2nd and 3rd November 2024.

🎨 This year's theme is ‘Artists, Markets, and Survival in the Creative Industries in Japan and East Asia’. We encourage submissions that explore the intricate dynamics of this theme. Additionally, we welcome sharing sessions by artists and other industry practitioners.
