Thehasa UG

Thehasa UG We are a refugee-founded and led corporate social enterprise established in 2020 to address socio-economic needs of vulnerable populations in Africa. Work.

"The Happy and Satisfied (THEHASA) Holdings Company Limited, LLC." THEHASA was incorporated on 28/December/2020 as a company limited by shares, the first of such company to be founded and incorporated by refugees in Kyangwali Refugee Settlement. Through the years, refugees have founded so many not for profit organisations and some evolved into national and international organisations and managemen

t of such organisation were refugees who were very courageous towards creating positive impacts in refugee communities on multi-sectorial implementation not limited to Primary and Secondary Education, Livelihoods, Protection, Environment...mention them. However, so many have ended up achieving the highest level of Primary School Education, so many finished "O" Level and dozens achieved a higher level of Education but, with all the levels and qualifications "there is no job". Our company name "THEHASA" is innovatively founded from two backgrounds;

1. From the initiatials of the company's founders and directors "Theophile (The), Hamid (Ha) and Samihati (Sa)"

2. An evening found the three directors together at Samihati's tailoring workshop. There came a customer who had left her CLOTH three days ago to be mended. She found us talking about money, none of us had any money by then but Samihati (Tailor) was paid (Shs 15,000/=) and she jubilated saying "Kazi Yangu inanipa raha" meaning "my work gives me happiness". HAMID then said, " the (Theophile) happy (Ha) and satisfied (Sa) are those with life skills/Vocational Skills". When the customer left, we started comparing Formal Education and Vocational Skills/Life Skills. Fortunately, Theophile is a hairdresser who later told us that he was buildings a big house in Kasonga village with money collected from hairdressing. He said, "not having money with me prevails if I got many shortcomings." HAMID, who is blessed with Leadership and Management Skills discussed his views on starting a Vocational Skills Center where the resources in Theophile and Samihati would be employed to youths, single mothers and any other passionate individual who would wish to build a career in Vocational Skills. We later resolved to incorporate THEHASA Holdings Company Limited with agreed shares and distribution of contribution for hiring a consultant who helped us through all the processes of incorporating THEHASA. The Company’s core focus is on starting multiple businesses (Company Subsidiaries) where practical trainings are conducted in areas of Tailoring and Garments Cutting, Catering and Hotel Management, Hairdressing and Weaving, Brick Laying and Concrete Practice, IT/Computer training and etc. BUT, Also do supplies, construction, any other contracts and other activities/services as in our memorandum of association. The Company owns a majority stake but we are looking for investors in 04 company subsidiaries (THEHASA|BEST FRIES RESTAURANT, THEHASA|UNISEX SALOON, THEHASA|CONSTRUCTINS BUSINESS and THEHASA|TAILORING AND GARMENTS HOME). We are one of the largest company LTD by shares operating in Kyangwali Refugee Settlement. You can withdraw/deposit the highest amount of money from our MTN mobile Money services and we are the only company you can trust to supply your organisation with any quantity groceries, construction materials and any other. Consider working with us, Consider being trained by us. OUR CORE VALUES
Attitude. Commitment. Self-sustaining. Personal Pleasure.

Tailoring Trainees' 2nd-Month Self-Assessment

Trainees under Alight's 6-month Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) program at THEHASA VOCATIONAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT CENTER are conducting their 2nd-month self-assessment through a Competency Self-Challenge. Each trainee is independently creating a garment of their choice to evaluate their skills and progress.

One trainee is making a dress and another is crafting a skirt, applying pattern drafting and stitching techniques.
This challenge helps them assess their abilities, build confidence, and identify areas for improvement as they continue their training.

Hands-on learning in action! Our trainees are gaining the skills they need to excel in their careers.
