In her keynote speech, Dr. Martina Ferracane emphasized the power of research, particularly her project mapping regulatory environments across 150 countries (including all 54 in Africa), to guide policy.

Globally, Africa lags in implementing enabling digital trade policies. Uganda, however, noted that it stands out positively in this area; "Uganda is the country in Africa with the highest number of enabling policies."

🔴Kenya is living the digital payment future, and it’s happening at every level of society.
🔴With smartphone use rising across East Africa, digital transactions are accelerating. But it’s not just about going digital, it’s about making payments truly inclusive.
🔴India’s zero transaction fee model proves inclusion is possible. Kenya is largely cashless, even in informal settings. Uganda has the potential—but we must move fast.
