We @ AfriSolar pride ourselves not in the many schools, hotels and mansions we install solar power to, but in those small businesses like vegetable stalls that in struggling to get a very small solar lamp, do extend working hours up to 11pm and their earnings by over 70%. It is these small that power much of the economy: they feed us, our cloths are mended by them and our children share schools, health facilities and more.
We are glad to be helping them better their own livelihoods.

It is said that Uganda alone has a potential of generating 5000MegaWatts of 100% renewable power. This can feed Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Eastern Congo and South Sudan and each household can pay a mere $0.1 for every unit utilised in a homestead. The constraints in hydro can not allow us to achieve that dream but a perfect grid tied solar system can available this cheap reliable and almost everlasting power.
