🎉👏 Please join us in welcoming Laura Davis to the NPSG Family!

We are thrilled to announce that Laura is bringing her extensive public safety and public safety technology expertise to the NPSG Team as a Software Consultant.

Laura began her career in public safety with the Pflugerville Police Department, TX, serving as dispatcher and records clerk and later became a police officer. Throughout her 25 years with the Police Department, she worked in or supervised nearly every area of the agency until she retired from law enforcement at the rank of Lieutenant.

Instead of leaving public safety behind, Laura transitioned into public safety technology in 2017 working for a major public safety software provider, where she could use her operational experience and understanding of law enforcement in a different way. Since that transition, she has worked with law enforcement agencies across the country and built extensive experience in public safety technology.

Welcome to the team, Laura!

First Due Named to the Inc. 5000 for the Fifth Consecutive Year

Ranking No. 647 among America's fastest-growing private companies, First Due is the fastest-growing Fire & EMS software company on the 2026 list.

MIAMI, Aug. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- First Due, the leader in end-to-end, AI-powered public safety software, has been named to the Inc. 5000 for the fifth consecutive year, ranking No. 647 overall and No. 68 in Software with a three-year revenue growth rate of 509%. It is again the highest-ranked Fire & EMS software company on the list.

The recognition comes a year after First Due closed a strategic minority growth investment led by JMI Equity, with participation from TCV and ongoing support from Serent Capital. The company has since put that capital toward expanding its engineering and product organizations, scaling implementation and support, broadening its go-to-market reach, and shipping AI across the suite at the fastest pace in its history.

Public Safety Software News:
As Backlash Increases, Flock Safety Updates Policies

The supplier of automatic license plate reading technology has tightened its privacy, data and other policies. This comes as foes of the company vandalize and steal its cameras across the country.

Flock Safety has updated privacy, auditing and other policies as the provider of automatic license plate reading technology faces an increasing backlash that includes alleged vandalism and theft.

Amid fresh reports that police officers have abused Flock surveillance data to stalk people, the 9-year-old public safety tech supplier will require customers to use the company’s recently launched Audit Assistance tool. Audit Assistance monitors activity from users and flags search patterns that run counter to an agency’s typical use of the technology.

More than one-third of Flock customers are already using the tool, according to a blog post published Thursday by company CEO Garrett Langley. All law enforcement customers must start using it by the end of the year.
