Have a TPO roof on your home or commercial property?

TPO is a popular flat-roof system in New Mexico. Its white surface helps reflect sunlight, it holds up well against UV exposure, and many localized problems can be repaired when they are caught early.
The important part is knowing where to look.
Some of the most common TPO roof problems we see involve:

An old roof doesn’t automatically mean it’s time for a new roof.
We recently worked on an older tar and gravel roof in Santa Fe. During our inspection, we identified visible weak areas around the parapet walls, roof penetrations, blisters, and areas of exposed tar.
Once work began, we found several additional blisters and exposed areas that also needed attention. We repaired the visible problem areas we found during the project.
There’s an important limitation with tar and gravel roofs: the gravel can hide conditions underneath it. A surface inspection cannot tell us everything about the concealed roof system.
Based on our experience, addressing these vulnerable visible areas may help this roof continue performing for several more years—but that isn’t a guarantee. Every roof is different, and remaining life depends on hidden conditions, drainage, weather exposure, and future maintenance.

Another tar and gravel roof repair completed in Albuquerque!
This older roof had several leaks and signs of normal wear. Instead of fixing only the active leak areas, the homeowner decided to complete maintenance across the whole roof.
We repaired the pipes, vents, skylights, parapet wall cracks, canales, flashing, roof transitions, blisters, seams, and other weak areas.
Soon after the work was completed, we received a good rainfall in Albuquerque. The roof was tested naturally, and no leaks were reported.
