SINE DIE!
During this 2026 30-Day Regular Legislative Session, we tracked and influenced more than 250 pieces of legislation. The Legislature introduced a total of 812 pieces of legislation in the House and Senate. Today, the Legislature adjourned Sine Die after sending 33 pieces of legislation to the Governor’s desk.
As of today, 17 pieces of legislation have been acted upon by the Governor. We successfully stopped 5 pieces of legislation from passage by preventing them from reaching the Governor’s desk. These measures were identified as highly detrimental to our clients. At the same time, we passed 5 priority pieces of legislation and secured more than $30 million in funding for our clients.
In addition to policy advocacy, we worked extensively on budget items, protecting appropriations that were beneficial to our clients and opposing those that could have been financially detrimental. From capital outlay to recurring appropriations, we closely monitored and influenced budget language to ensure our clients’ priorities were preserved and advanced.
Through our lobbying and advocacy efforts, we conclude this session confident that we did everything possible to protect and advance our clients’ agendas. We also supported our partners by helping pass key initiatives and stopping harmful legislation.
Identifying threats and advancing favorable policies is at the core of what we do. Our superior industry knowledge, combined with a deep understanding of the issues, culture, and legislative process, allows us to maintain a low-profile, results-oriented approach to lobbying and government relations.
We now look ahead to the 2026 interim committee process in preparation for the 2027 60-Day Regular Session. Organizational meetings begin in May 2026, with interim meetings officially starting in June 2026. State budget discussions will continue through the interim as agencies prepare for the next cycle.
