If you know someone living with PTSD, you already know awareness is not the hard part. The hard part is finding a provider. Getting an appointment. Feeling like the person across from you actually gets it. One of the most rewarding things we do at Arrow is helping build a health care workforce that closes those gaps. On National PTSD Awareness Day, we are grateful for every clinician, counselor and care coordinator doing that work.

When a Veteran walks into a VA clinic, the first person they meet isn't usual a physician or a nurse. It's a medical support assistant.

Arrow's joint venture partners, Artemis ARC and Aptive Resources, deploy nearly 300 MSAs across VA facilities in Colorado and Texas — from large medical centers in Denver and Houston to rural clinics serving Veterans hours from the nearest hospital. These are the people who keep the schedules running and the care moving. And for many Veterans, they're the most consistent face in a complex system.
