The Market Excuse
The market is hard right now.
Rates are high.
Volume is down.
Buyers are sitting on the sidelines.

That's real. I'm not dismissing it.

But here's what I need you to hear.
The loan officers who are growing right now — in this market, with these rates — aren't doing it because the market is working in their favor.

They're doing it because they stopped blaming the market two years ago.

They used the slow down to build.

While everyone else was waiting for rates to drop, they were building their brand.

Building their referral network outside of Realtors.
Building content that positioned them as the expert instead of a commodity.

Building systems that generate conversations without cold calls.

And now that the market is showing signs of movement — they're ready.

Inconsistent Income and Burnout

You wake up thinking about money.
Not in a healthy way.

In that stomach-tight, can-I-pay-my-bills way.
One month you're celebrating a fifteen thousand dollar paycheck.

The next month you're scraping by on three.
You tell yourself it's just the nature of the business.

Seasonal. Cyclical.

That's what everyone says.

But while you're accepting the inconsistency, you're burning out trying to smooth it out.
More calls when it's slow.

More desperation when the pipeline dries up.
More hustle to make up for the months that didn't hit.

That's not a business model.
That's a survival pattern.
And survival patterns destroy people.

The loan officers who aren't burned out aren't the ones grinding through the inconsistency.

They're the ones who stopped relying on it in the first place.

They built systems that generate leads without cold calls.

They created referral engines that don't depend on one Realtor's mood.
