A clean slate changes everything and we tried to take this one to the next level!

Just under two acres, with two pieces of equipment, and two days of run time - there is some new life with this one after the fire reclamation wrapped up. Awesome property with great water retention, superior shade, and existing pasture to the east. Now the western half is ready to make its debut.

As of last week, Lace Construction officially completed our scope at the Helium Heights - Amarillo, Texas project. This one was a great opportunity to work alongside the ownership team, and we appreciate the trust placed in us to help push the site into its next phase of development. We’re looking forward to seeing the continued progress and what this property becomes for the community moving forward starting with their event next month!

Our final scope wrapped up with the rough grading of the future parking areas and outdoor event spaces across six acres, all while maintaining the contracted completion target of June 4. In that same timeframe, our crews also completed the removal of three internal storage rooms along with demolition and prep work inside the future venue area.

Projects like this are never just about moving dirt or tearing things down. They take planning, adapting to previously unknown site conditions, and a crew willing to think on their feet when challenges arise unexpectedly. Proud of the team for continuing to push through, staying efficient, and keeping all of our projects moving forward safely and professionally.

Almost half way through the week and we wanted to give everyone an update.

At Helium Heights - Amarillo, Texas, we’ve wrapped up the removal of two structures that had outlived their purpose - unsafe, beyond repair, and no longer serving the facility.

Now we’re pushing east to west across the site, cleaning up what was left behind from the 335 Loop expansion - concrete, rebar, and miscellaneous slabs that never should’ve stayed as long as they did. That phase rolls straight into prepping a large footprint for future parking, markets, and event space (not condos…). All external to the main facility, but all tied into where this place is headed.

Inside the facility, same mindset - clean it up, make it usable, make it better.

We removed outdated storage rooms that were thrown up over time just to meet demand, but weren’t built to last. In that same area, we pulled roughly 900 linear feet of steel supports with Llano Estacado Outdoor Solutions over utility trenches and brought everything back to grade.

What that does is simple:
It sets the stage for a single-level floor system that looks better, moves better, and most importantly - makes the space safer and more accessible for everyone moving through it.

This is the kind of work that doesn’t always get the spotlight, but it’s what turns a property into something functional again.

Let’s get real - equipment is meant to be used, not admired. Every piece should have a clear purpose. If it’s not producing, it’s just taking up space. We run tools and equipment that earn their keep, not just look pretty.
