Movie: Trolls

Today's is understanding character development - how the observer sees the character changing step by step throughout the narrative.
Essentially, character growth

Example: When we first met the unknown female troll, who's father (King Peppy), desired to keep her protected, she had not yet become Queen of the Pop Trolls. She was but a young princess destined for greatness to create change within herself to motivate a change in others however, as a young queen she finds that changing her approach to succeed in her destiny to impact others was a necessary adjustment to her growth.

This often deems the question: "so is there a specific set of rules as to including character development whilst ?"

My answer would be Cosplay Your Way
and be respectful of others as you do so but aint that the golden rule?
