Finished an order of yo-yos! For those who don’t know these are a traditional toy meant to teach children how to balance a bolas for hunting and they can come in all different shapes and colors. I like to do the cone shape since it’s what I see most often in old photos or museums.
These are definitely growing on me. I’m thinking of keeping some in stock for some upcoming markets!
In October I’ll be some events so keep a lot out for me. Believe it or not I haven’t done a market all year 🫣

Hello everyone! I haven’t been active as much this summer with markets because I have been doing a lot of traveling for work! It was amazing to go on my first cruise and talking about Alaska history. I was busy with some commissions and it’s always so cool to see my work at other shops 💛🌼✨

I’ve been experimenting with shorter style necklaces! Normally the ones I make are 4” or more in height but these are 2” or less. I’ve been enjoying the different cuts of beads and the different shades of blue

Super last minute but this is truly my favorite event of the year! You don’t have to be Alaska native or a regular church goer to come it’s about seeing people you haven’t seen in a while and being happy.
In my opinion this is the only place to see the prettiest parkas in Alaska so come say hi and hang out! (I can also introduce you to people as my cousin so don’t be shy)

I have been busy beading the past few weeks! I haven’t had this many necklaces at once in a long time. Since I’m not sure when I’m going to do another in person market I will upload these to my website. You can always message me for more info 💛✨
And a bonus picture of a project I worked on for Valentine’s Day. It’s called “Uummatiga” or “My heart” in Iñupiaq and it’s a life size heart filled with pearls, ivory bits, old earrings, rocks from my favorite places, a reindeer antler piece and sealskin so it also weights the same as my heart. I love the little details and it was fun to do something completely different.

My last market of the year is tomorrow! Come down to CITC on Monday and check out my first prints and lots of beaded accessories as well as a few kuspuks and stickers!
Then on Wednesday I have my last class of the year 💛
