In recognition of National Diabetes Awareness Month, all of us at Alyeska Vascular want to take this opportunity to provide educational resources to help others understand how Diabetes contributes to Vascular Disease.

Diabetes can affect both small and large blood vessels in different parts of the body which include eyes, kidneys, the heart, legs, and feet. Complications can include stroke, heart attack, Peripheral Artery Disease, Diabetic Retinopathy, Cataracts, Glaucoma, Diabetic Foot, Diabetic Nephropathy, and Peripheral Neuropathy.
