Our team was honored to present on Decolonization with Bering Straits Native Corporation interns & youth this past month. Part of leadership journeys for Inuit include examining social systems that hold Indigenous people down with many untruths. Decolonization offers a paradigm shift for changing ourselves & systems to uplift Indigenous peoples & cultures in today. Great potential to capitalize on our strong resiliency with growing capacities for healing, revitalizing, and advancing towards a vision to achieve holistic Native communities and businesses.

We were honored to support Kawerak Wellness in completing a strategic plan to address & prevent opioid misuse in the Bering Strait Region. Over the past year we led a data-driven regional needs assessment with a comprehensive community approach for listening directly to villages on the impacts & concerns.

We are getting ready to co-host the Nome community meeting today (July 10) starting at 1:30 pm at the Katirvik Cultural Center. Afterwards at 3:30 pm will be a youth activity on film making & animation incorporating history. Join us for an opportunity to learn about Lillian Alling's amazing walk from New York to Nome & the Bering Strait Region during 1926-29, and share community history for the film *The Mystery Woman*
