You guys loved The Met, so I went digging for more.

The Art Institute of Chicago, the Rijksmuseum, and the National Gallery of Art all offer incredible public domain works you can legally download and explore for free.

This one came straight from the screen, through The Cold Press, and into a frame.

Can you name the artist?

I’ll leave the museum links in the comments.

Follow for more ways to make fine art more accessible to you.

I still can’t believe more people don’t know this.

Thousands of famous works of art are available to download completely free in high resolution through The Met’s Open Access collection because they are in the public domain.

If you’re an artist, designer, photographer, student, or just someone who loves great art, this is one of the best resources on the internet.

I’m always looking for little gems like this that help artists create, learn, and make better work.

Follow along if that’s your kind of content.

The Cold Press is officially on Google!

Thank you to everyone who has followed along, trusted me with your artwork, shared a post, stopped by the shop, or simply told a friend about what I’m building. Every print, every conversation, and every bit of support has helped get me here.

This little print shop started with a simple goal…make beautiful prints for artists who care deeply about their work. Seeing it continue to grow because of this community means a lot.

If you’ve worked with me and enjoyed the experience, I’d be incredibly grateful if you left a Google review. It helps more artists discover The Cold Press and keeps this little shop growing.

Here’s to the next chapter. Thanks for being part of it.

The best compliment a printmaker can receive:

“That looks just like my original.”

There’s a lot packed into that simple sentence.

Em Camacho’s work lives in a beautiful balance of subtlety and intensity. Delicate details, rich textures, and incredibly vibrant colors all working together in ways that deserve to be preserved.

The goal is never to make a copy.

The goal is to make a print that feels like the original.

These are a few of Em’s incredible paintings reproduced as museum grade archival prints at The Cold Press in downtown Anchorage.

Alaskan artists, give me a follow for more behind the scenes printing, art reproduction, and local artwork.

Sometimes the best part is just listening to the process.

A few minutes with the Cricut Venture, some vinyl, and the satisfying sound of a project coming together.

The little details are what make a shop feel real.

If you’re an Alaska artist looking for archival prints, giclée reproduction, or help bringing your work to life, give The Cold Press a follow.

A little sunrise magic from local artist Bob Adler.

This piece stopped me in my tracks when it came through the shop. The warm oranges against the cool greys create one of those quiet moments that feels familiar, like watching the first light hit the Alaska landscape before the rest of the world wakes up.

Always a pleasure working with artists who pay attention to the small details. This one was a joy to print.

If you’re an Alaska artist looking to turn your work into museum grade archival prints, give The Cold Press a follow and come see what we can create together.

Apparently having a print shop in downtown Anchorage is not quite enough to get on Google. They need to see some signage.

I’ve been putting this one off for a while because running a small business seems to come with an endless supply of side quests.

So I picked up a Cricut Venture, designed some vinyl decals, and spent the day making The Cold Press look a little more official.

Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. The windows look great, the shop is easier to find, and the whole place feels a little more like home.

Let’s see if Google agrees!

Any other small business owners using a Cricut Venture for projects like this?

If you’re an Alaska artist looking for museum grade giclée printing, give me a follow and come see what I’m building.

Hey, I’m Drew, and this is The Cold Press.

I started this little print shop because I love photography, fine art, and the process of turning digital files into something real that you can hold in your hands.

I specialize in museum grade archival giclée printing for photographers, artists, and anyone who wants their work reproduced with care and attention to detail.

If you know an Alaskan artist, photographer, or creative who might be interested, give this reel a share. And if you’d like to follow along as I build this shop one print at a time, hit that follow button.

Built for long winters.
