It started with a Pennsylvania stone retaining wall to create additional parking and the design evolved into a patio, grill station and firebowl area with sitting walls just off the existing deck. Retaining wall complete and the rest is yet to come.

My garden looks its best in late August said no one ever…but a careful selection of flowering shrubs, grasses and late blooming perennials can distract from the inevitable die back of those that were the spring heroes. Favorites plants for late summer/early fall interest: sedum, anenome, miscanthus, geranium, hakonechloa, hydrangea paniculata and phlox.

Sunday vibes. Garden yielding cut flowers in late July. I’ve devoted an entire raised bed to flowers this year and reduced the vegetable yield. Loving the flower harvest.
