Meaningful Movement Monday is to set the intention to continue to graduate. Last week we spent time with the Reidsville Chamber of Commerce for their signature She Means Business event. Do you mean business?

It’s the last MMM for May 2026 and we do a throwback to May 23, 2023 when we attended our first Women’s Leadership Conference through the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. It was at this conference that she was invited to join a Board of Directors as a local thought leader. The rare moments when our Choiceness Coach smiles like this, is often when she means business.

To our followers/network, fill in the blank: “She means business when…”

Our value in the Exquisite Being Experience (EBX) that relates to graduating is Embrace Belonging. We believe that each person has inherent value and is meant to exist fully.

Last months MMM: Meaningful Movement Monday is to set the intention to be Brown Wall Street.

Massacre that we have been reading since January (even with a few snowstorms) and it has us considering our past.

There is likely trauma that has created this version of you. It’s only been six years since we experienced one of the most globally connected trauma events, the pandemic.

There is nothing more painful than the loss of life, yet what comes close is the loss of belonging and identity in connection to purpose.

What did being Brown Wall Street look like this week that week? Lots of activity!

*What new year new knowledge have you taken in?
*What is your response to Wall Street?
*How has your community reinforced your belonging?
*What identities have been threatened or challenged over time?
*What integration awaits when you embrace your own curated Wall Street?
*How does who you are influence how you show up?

Thankful for the opportunity to learn about Black Wall Street from the 1921 massacre and how important it is in our present to building a strategic future. This Brown Wall Street business CuraHuman, will make three years of existence soon!

If you find yourself disconnected from your past in relation to the strategy of your future, connect with our Choiceness Coach to rediscover belonging and identity in the Exquisite Being Experience (EBX).

MMM: Meaningful Movement Monday is to set the intention to be a Lightkeeper Leader from February earlier this year.

Embody whole-heartedness is one of our values at CuraHuman. We believe in sincerity and commitment to self, then others.

Over that weekend maybe you watched the Super Bowl. Our Choiceness Coach chose not to become an American football fan. In many ways that seemed too American to her.

Of course, as it makes 60 years of Super Bowl games, we recall the parties as a young child and the halftime shows. We specifically remember the ones that were jazzed up in the NYC-any game involving the giants.

Ironically, she ended up attending the university for which that trophy has a long standing history. The namesake for that trophy was a native New Yorker from Brooklyn, specifically Sheepshead Bay (near her other hometown in Rockaway Beach).

Our Keating Hall blanket, first placed on the wall in her home in 2018, is a grounding gratitude for how Fordham curated, engaged, and light kept this Chief Human. Especially, in her identify as a first generation college graduate. Like Vince, she has integrated philosophy of duty, responsibility, and the exercise of free will to her being and doing, keeping her roots.

*What version of the Lombardi trophy are you after in 2026?
*What does embody whole-heartedness mean to you personally?
*What sincere commitments to self have you made for 2026?
*How do you integrate your lived experience and learnings to create a better version of yourself?
*Where do you retract (physically and emotionally) to when your roots might be uprooted?

As you explore and embody whole-heartedness throughout the year, consider executive coaching with our Choiceness Coach towards the next phase in your leadership.

Last months Friday Feels: Fearlessness

In January 2022, we boldly applied for the first Talent of Tomorrow (ToT). We received a personal invitation from Wendi Safstrom who served as the Executive Director for the SHRM Foundation. Ellysa S. perfectly fit the ideal candidate description, since she spent two years addressing more than 50% percent turnover on the small team and established proven interventions for retention, a well robust level of strategic work.

This is what the SHRM Foundation shared: “ToT, organized by our frequent partner Jobs for the Future (JFF) and powered by the ECMC Foundation, is an innovative solution to help you and your organization address the growing economic workforce shifts by exploring new solutions in partnership with community colleges and other industry representatives.”

For the past five years we have connected with leaders at the annual Leadership Convening with the last one taking place in Austin, TX last year. The program helped our Chief Human successfully manage economic development through workforce initiatives and aligned with her systems convener gift!

It’s our Friday Feels because we started 2026 with supporting the local Bold Pathway. NC IDEA Foundation and Provident1898 have partnered with the ECMC Foundation Foundation to bring the Bold Path Fellowship to Durham and the Triangle Region.

The Bold Path Fellowship is a two-year, full-time program that empowers individuals from under-resourced backgrounds who have earned a degree or credential to pursue entrepreneurship as a viable pathway following postsecondary completion. Through this program, they hope to support students who are passionate about entrepreneurship to choose the Bold Path.

Making Entrepreneurship a More Accessible and Equitable Career Pathway aligns to the core of CuraHuman. It’s an honor to continue to represent the ECMC Group and team with this local initiative. You can read more about it https://lnkd.in/eCxbfvkC

Our March recap continues our quarter three (Q3) summary and specifically the Leadership Triangle program.

Our Chief Human was invited to the 2025 Regional Program through Leadership Triangle and session four was devoted to “Addressing the Climate Crisis + Future of the Triangle Workforce”.

One of her favorite aspects is the locally sourced meals, this one was from Boricua Soul. And a well timed share in our recap given that our Chief Human is a Bronx native that was surrounded by various cultures including Boricua in our hometown.

The time spent introspectively considering these topics helps our Chief Human be a better systems convener in her coaching with executive leaders and with her strategic HR for organizations.

A special day indeed. It is an honor to share an anniversary with Piedmont Health Services, an amazing FQHC. Thank you for inviting me to join the Board of Directors.

In joining this team for quarter one January to March of 2025, I learned so much about clinical care and health equity practices to care for communities.

It’s the same evolution I guide leaders through at CuraHuman. The future belongs to those who “cure their human” first, understanding that real power comes from empowering others.

What’s your experience with boards that have embraced more adaptive, inclusive approaches?

Our March recap continues with celebrations from quarter three. From March 10-14, 2025 we celebrated healthcare HR week for the first time.

Our Chief Human and Choiceness Coach joined healthcare HR officially earlier that year.

As with any new industry, the learning curve can be steep at times. Yet the HR in healthcare truly build relationships and bridge communities.

It has been a pleasure to have served in this new capacity. Our leader also happens to have a birthday in March.

Her first birthday was during an iconic winter storm where her parents relied on the healthcare teams to care for their newborn.

In ending healthcare week in 2025, March 15, 2025 brought a shared milestone of a birthday, an anniversary, and a new Board experience.

The privilege to build relationships through our executive coaching of the Exquisite Being Experience is evident because when Lightkeeper Leaders are created and produced, that is how communities are bridged. That wha made our Chief Human put a heartbeat in her logo design for this business.

If you are wondering, what opportunities are hidden or veiled in your current human experience, connect with our Choiceness Coach. She’s known for providing mirrors to people that incite reflection, honor, and curiosity. The most important relationship is the one you build with yourself which is what gives our signature coaching so much appeal.

The Know Yourself CH^3 Individual Pathway is a deep dive on your knowledge of self. It’s a six month executive coaching engagement for through our signature Lightkeeper Leadership Curation (LLC).

For her embrace being human, cure your human is not just a tagline, it’s a mission that each human creates in their journey and lived experience. It’s her heart that “Choiceness is your every day excellence”.

Our March recap continues our quarter three summary with our deep networking exchange. On March 10, 2025 we joined colleagues at Carter Bank for Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event.

As an introverted leader it takes considerable effort and energy for our Choiceness Coach to partake in large gatherings. In particular, seemingly superficial networking sessions centered on small talk and pitches that lack authenticity. A Lightkeeper Leader balances these tensions with grace and humility.

Sometimes the best part is curating a plate like a master chef and connecting with a few quality dialogues, instead of exchanging business cards for quantified relationships.

We enjoy serving the YPN Young Professional Network through the chamber, to participate in these events. It allows Ellysa to pace embracing her human and curing her human to show up as her best self.

Our engagement with nonprofits including the Greater Raleigh Chamber brings us joy for the services and experiences they provide to their members.

We are extremely protective of our time and energy as Chief Human because if you lack self-leadership, it is highly unlikely that you can leader others successfully. If this resonates for you and you want to explore further, connect with our Choiceness Coach!

MMM: meaningful movement monday earlier this week was to set the intention for being wildly capable.

Over the weekend we continued spending time beta reading a practical book about managing chronic illness through work.

It brought us back to the first strategic assignment we received back in May 2019, after only just four years into her Human Resources career, and a year with that particular company.

Global Skyware as a subsidiary had other HR counterparts globally including headquarters in England and another subsidiary in Singapore. The global lens encouraged coming together to exchange thoughts, ideas, and plans.

It was a stretch project that involved her going all in with a theme (Coffee House) and content (Strategic Advisory Council). The event was very successful with five of us representing geographical diversity and expertise. It would not be the last time that Global Skyware invited me to explore and immerse in an immersive cultural experience.

It’s early in 2026, yet maybe you have already been given a stretch assignment with high risk. This is the reminder that you are wildly capable, as the human experience involves the ability to rise in the face of barriers/challenges.

As you explore and embrace stretch assignments throughout the year, consider executive coaching with our Choiceness Coach to embody wholeheartedness as widely capable to achieve your goals.

In early March, the third session was hosted in Pittsboro. The topic for the day was centered on “Visioning Towards an Anti-Poverty and Anti-Racist Region + Housing”.

As an HSP, she was not fully prepared for the racial wealth simulation. The physiological response to the simulation was very very real. She became dehydrated, nauseous, with an increased heart rate, and a foggy brain.

As a first generation America, it felt like she finally understood how someone’s American Dream could be minimized into nothingness. It was a validation for her own lived experience, she didn’t know she needed. It showed how the system was made to undermine the qualification and bright light of others, and it was exhausting.

Thankfully she had the chance to replace the exhaustion with some family time visiting her cousin that lives in that area. Cousin time was the boost and the regeneration of energy that filled her cup after the disillusionment of what it means to live in this country hit her. How noteworthy that the USA is 250 years in 2026, and what systems have we redesigned to do better?

It’s the second MMM for 2026 and our meaningful movement is to set the intention to pace ourselves.

Over the weekend we spent time beta reading a practical book about managing chronic illness through work.

It brought us back to the this selfie of our Chief Human and Choiceness Coach pacing herself in the middle of the pandemic.

She was two years in her prestigious Masters program. This was the week of her finalizing her draft thesis about soft skills (what we now call CuraSkills). She believed she could so she did. Yet all of it was intentionally paced.

Little did she know she was pacing herself towards a promotion to Human Resources Director in less than 10 months.

Right now 2026 may have started with a chaotic whirlwind yet we set the intention to pace ourselves throughout the year.

What does pacing ourselves look like this week?

*Monday- We are supporting leader training and attending the YPN Business After Hours at Ray at the Weld
*Tuesday-We are supporting Senior Leaders and serving as on demand center
*Wednesday-We are participating in an Accountability workshop and attending YPN Social event
*Thursday-We are engaging in supporting a pay rule change with a team and preparing an exit interview for another leader
*Friday-We wrap up the week with follow up on our January projects and a check in with an executive leader

Whatever you find yourself pursuing this year, consider executive coaching with our Choiceness Coach to embrace more self-awareness to pace yourself along the way.
