As summer approaches, many moms are quietly bracing for the mental load that comes with it.

More meals.
More noise.
More planning.
More pressure to make it magical.

And while social media often shows summer as joyful and carefree…

for many moms, it can also feel overstimulating and exhausting.

Especially if you’re already running on empty.

This is your reminder:

You do not have to create a perfect summer to be a good mom!

Your worth is not measured by:

how many activities you plan
how organized everything feels
how happy everyone is all the time

You deserve support, rest, and moments of care too!

What will you do to help YOU this summer??

On a more personal note today, I offer a gentle Mother’s Day to all moms today; whether you are sitting in waiting, longing, grief, joy or all of the above mixed together. This day can be tender for so many for so many reasons.

For me, being a mom today means holding joy and grief in the same heart. I am a daughter without my mom. I am a mother who has lost a daughter. And I am also a mom to my living children who bring light, laughter, and meaning into my everyday life.

Motherhood feels layered for me. Losing my mom changed the way I parent — it made me more intentional, more aware of time, more grateful for ordinary moments. Losing my daughter changed me in ways I’m still learning how to name. Her life continues to shape who I am, and her absence is something I carry with tenderness.

At the same time, my living children remind me that love can expand, even after heartbreak. They are not a replacement for what I’ve lost. They are part of my story — part of the way love continues to move through my life.

Motherhood, for me, is both grief and gratitude. Both memory and presence. Both ache and deep devotion. And I’m learning to honor all of it.

If you feel so inclined, PLS comment/share your grief and/or joys of Mother’s Day for you!

May is Maternal Mental Health Month.

And for many moms, this season is a mix of love, exhaustion, identity shifts, and emotions that don’t always get talked about.

Maternal mental health is not just about postpartum depression.

It can look like:
anxiety that doesn’t turn off
feeling constantly overstimulated
snapping more than you want to
feeling disconnected from yourself or your partner
intrusive or scary thoughts
wondering if you’re doing any of this “right”

These experiences are more common than most people realize.

And they don’t mean you’re failing.

They often mean your nervous system is overwhelmed and adjusting to one of the biggest transitions of your life.

You deserve support that honors both the emotional and relational impact of motherhood. If this resonates please share or reach out.

Infertility is often experienced quietly.

Behind the appointments and tracking is a cycle many people don’t see:
hope, uncertainty, grief, and trying again.

If you’re walking through this right now, your experience deserves to be acknowledged.

You don’t have to minimize it to make others comfortable and you don't have to cope alone. Reach out if you are ready for more support.

Pregnancy and infant loss grief is often invisible.

The world may move on quickly.
Your body and heart often do not.

Grief after loss rarely moves in a straight line.

It can return in waves around:

due dates
anniversaries
holidays
seeing other babies
trying again
a new pregnancy
milestones you imagined

And sometimes it shows up with no clear trigger at all.

That doesn’t mean you’re going backward.

It means grief is love with nowhere obvious to land.

Healing doesn’t ask you to forget.

It asks you to make space for the love, the longing, the anger, the tenderness, and the story of the baby you carry in your heart.

If you’re navigating pregnancy or infant loss, you deserve support that honors the complexity of this grief .

Just a gentle reminder 💛

The first 90 days after baby can be one of the hardest seasons on a relationship.

Less sleep.
More tension.
Invisible labor.
Feeling disconnected from the person you love.

And so many couples quietly wonder:

Is this normal? Are we okay?

The answer is yes—this is such a common part of the postpartum transition.

It’s not a love problem.
It’s a stress + nervous system overload problem.

That’s exactly why I created my FREE 90 Days After Baby Roadmap.

Inside, I walk you through:
* what’s normal in each phase
*resentment quietly builds
* scripts for hard conversations
* how to protect your connection

So if you’re pregnant, newly postpartum, or supporting a new parent, this is your reminder to grab it!

Everyone tells you how to prepare for the baby.

Almost no one tells you how to prepare for what happens to your relationship after the baby arrives.

The first 90 days can feel like emotional whiplash:
less sleep, more tension, invisible labor, and wondering why you feel disconnected from the person you love.

This doesn’t mean anything is wrong.

It means your nervous systems are overloaded.

That’s why I created a FREE 90 Days After Baby Roadmap for new and expecting parents.

Inside, I walk you through:
✨ what’s normal in each phase
✨ how resentment quietly builds
✨ the most common postpartum conflict cycle
✨ scripts for hard moments
✨ when to reach for extra support

It’s gentle, practical, and designed to help you protect your connection during the hardest stretch.

The first 90 days after baby can feel like emotional whiplash.

You love your baby.
You’re grateful.
And you’re also exhausted, overstimulated, and snapping at each other.

This doesn’t mean your relationship is broken.

It means your nervous systems are overloaded.

As a therapist specializing in postpartum transitions, I see the same pattern over and over:
Couples don’t need more love.
They need structure.

So I created the 90 Days After Baby Roadmap.

It walks you through:
• What’s normal in each phase
• How to protect your connection
• How to prevent resentment
• What to do when one of you feels underwater

You deserve support in this season.
