Remember this bathroom? Phase Two is taking shape. 👀

A few weeks ago, we shared Phase One of this bathroom transformation. Now we’re taking another step forward.
Rather than replacing the existing vanity top, we resurfaced it, creating a completely custom finish designed specifically for this space.

What started as a solid white surface now has depth, movement and character, while allowing us to preserve what was already there.

That’s something we love about creative transformations: new doesn’t always mean replacement.
Sometimes the right craftsmanship can completely reimagine what you already own.

And we’re still not finished.

Phase Three is coming, and that’s when you’ll see the full transformation come together.

You don’t see me holding the paintbrush nearly as often these days. 🎨

Running Inside Out Concierge means much of my time is now spent serving our clients, managing projects, supporting our team and coordinating the many moving pieces behind the scenes.

But every once in a while, I get back to where a lot of this started.
I’ve been painting and working with finishes for more than 30 years, and the truth is, I still love it.

The other day, a longtime client gave me the opportunity to put the brush back in my hand. There’s something incredibly satisfying about slowing down, paying attention to the details and watching a transformation happen right in front of you.

IOC has grown. My role has changed. But the craftsmanship behind what we do was learned with tools in my hands—and I never want to lose that connection.

Sometimes being the lead steward means coordinating the right people.

Sometimes it means picking up the brush yourself.

Got bird strikes?

You're not alone, and the problem is much bigger than many people realize. 🐦

Many of our clients already understand the danger windows can pose to birds. But it's difficult to care about a problem we don't know exists, so we wanted to share something worth knowing.
Research estimates that hundreds of millions of birds die each year in the United States from collisions with buildings and glass, and nearly half of that mortality occurs at residences.

Why? Birds don't see our windows the way we do. Reflections of trees and sky can look like open habitat, and the result can be a devastating collision.

Thankfully, many of these collisions are preventable.

The window treatment pictured here creates a visible pattern that helps birds recognize the glass as something they need to avoid. Proper spacing matters—the goal isn't simply putting a few decals on a window, but making the entire glass surface understandable to a bird.

We love birds, and they're an important part of the ecosystems surrounding the homes we're entrusted to care for.

Sometimes stewardship means taking care of the house.
