Thank you to Trina’s Restaurant who was a fantastic host of our Women in Business Coffee and Connection event this morning in Elcho!

Our attendees spent most of our to me brainstorming and discussing expansions, pivots and connections to contacts for one other. This is was networking is truly about!

Be sure to join us on November 7 at the Langlade County Women in Business Trade Show & Pitch Competition to celebrate the locally owned businesses and get to know each of them and their endeavors!

We are grateful to have Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation’s support and grant funding to allow this program and these opportunities to come to our county through Langlade County Economic Development Corporation.

Our next event is September 12 at Northstar Lanes for our Women In Business Networking Brunch: September 12 ! It is free to attend and we will have delicious food, awesome speakers from Schroeder's Gifts and Johnson Electric Coil Company!

Mark your calendars for September 1 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm to learn more about starting a business, expanding your venture, and developing a lender-ready business plan in the upcoming Entrepreneurial Training Program.

Join us at the ETP Orientation and Informational Session where we will dive into the overview of the program, grants available that help pay for 90% of the course out of pocket, and answer any questions you may have!

We will be located at the Langlade County Economic Development Corporation in the NTC Antigo Campus. The program boasts Jeff Ebel as an instructor, who is truly a reason to join. Jeff Ebel is a former business owner, having had his own business in the 70s and again in 1989 starting Ebel Woodworking in his garage. In between businesses he worked in manufacturing management at two local furniture companies. In 2007 he sold Ebel Woodworking after growing it to over $4MM insales and over 45 employees. He most recently joined forces with co-owner Leon Ostrowski in Midwest Wealth Ventures, LLC as its President, mentoring and coaching entrepreneurs and assisting with funding their ventures through the Wisconsin River Business Angels. He volunteers annually to serve as a judge for the Wisconsin governor’s Business Plan Contest.

During this session, you'll learn how the 9-week Entrepreneurial Training Program helps participants:

Test and refine business ideas
Better understand their target customers
Develop a lender-ready business plan
Use their time, money, and resources more effectively

The full course meets Tuesdays from September 15 through November 10, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, at the NTC Antigo Campus.

As an added benefit, thanks to the generous support of the Suick Family Foundation, Langlade County participants may be eligible for a partial course reimbursement upon successful completion and the opportunity to present for grant funding.
