Since 2017, my life has been unfolding through a series of shifts, challenges, and awakenings that have changed me from the inside out. My first mission trip to Haiti cracked something open in me. It changed my perspective on life and what I was willing to tolerate. Around that same time, a loved one was moving through major challenges, and it stretched me in ways I wasn’t prepared for. I had to learn new ways of being in relationships without losing myself.
Even though I was making aligned changes, life didn’t suddenly get easier. Looking back, I can see that every time we grow, we’re met with new challenges that shape us for what’s next.
By late 2019, everything caught up with me. I felt drained and disconnected. I had major surgery. I wasn’t feeling like myself. So, in early 2020, I made a decision to rebuild from the inside out — mind, body, and spirit.
I became more active. I changed how I ate. I felt better. My intuition sharpened. I suddenly had a green thumb after a lifetime of keeping exactly one plant alive.
Then I felt pulled to work with a life coach. She introduced me to Human Design, almost in passing — and it changed everything. It gave language to patterns I had lived my whole life. It helped me understand why I move in bursts, why I need rest, and why shrinking myself never worked. It also helped me see why waiting for things to come to me felt draining, and why initiating has always felt natural.
Human Design didn’t change who I was. It helped me understand who I’ve always been. 😍
And I’ve been experimenting with that alignment ever since.
Keep shining,
Moniste
