If you were sad when Painted Tree in Highland Village suddenly closed earlier this year, I have some good news, if you haven't already heard!

The space has officially been brought back to life as The Collective Boutiques, which opened August 15. A new owner took over, and many of the former vendors have returned. So when I stopped by, it honestly felt very similar to the Painted Tree we all knew and loved. Lots of the same vibe and fun mix of things to browse.

I remember so many people saying Painted Tree was their “happy place,” so I’m glad to see this space resurrected! Take a peek inside with me - and let me know if you’ve been yet!

Here’s the official word on Hurtado’s Argyle location. It’s NOT going in the old Fuzzy’s/St Argyle building as previously planned, but this is even better!!

Lots of folks have been asking about our plans in Argyle, and here’s an update: we’re still opening in Argyle, but plans have shifted a little - quite literally to the left!

We’re proud to announce that we’ll be part of the new Argyle Marketplace off 377 and 407 with a brand new building and beautiful patio facing the Argyle nature preserve.

Coming spring 2027!

JUST SOLD | This closing was such a great reminder of something that’s really important to me: supporting local businesses whenever we can.

So many Argyle-area people and businesses had a hand in getting this one to the closing table and helping my buyers get settled into their new home.

The listing agent lives right here in Argyle. I live here. Our mortgage lender Jim Juergens - NEO Home Loans is from Argyle, and our escrow officer works right here at an Argyle title company, Independence Title Argyle - Schultz & Kellar, PLLC. We worked with an Argyle family-owned roofing company, RepairYourRoof.com, a local plumber CR Plumbing, Air & Electric, and a home inspector from Argyle, Ninnis Home Inspection. And after closing, I sent over my decorator, also from Argyle, to help my buyers think through furniture placement and ideas for making the home their own.

That’s a whole lot of local in one real estate transaction. ❤️

We have so many talented business owners and professionals right here in our community, and I think we should all look for opportunities to support one another whenever we can. This transaction was such a great example of that.

And most importantly, congratulations to my buyers on their beautiful new home in Prairie View Farms! I’m so excited for them to start this next chapter.

We took the quick drive over to Ponder to check out the new Ranchman’s by Marty B - and this place has some history! The building dates all the way back to 1903 and the original Ranchman’s was a longtime Ponder institution. Marty Bryan recently brought it back to life, keeping some of that old-school Texas character while putting his own spin on the food and atmosphere.

It’s a fun, casual spot and an easy little drive from Argyle. They also have live music Friday and Saturday nights, so add this one to your list if you haven’t made it over yet

Still on a high from the most amazing wedding weekend, and I have to give a little love to some of our wonderful local businesses who helped make it so special! 💒

We kicked things off with the rehearsal dinner on the rooftop at Marty B's, and it could not have been more perfect. The food and service were excellent, as always, and the rooftop was such a fun vibe for a big group of Aggies! 👍🏻

My friend Brandi with Bosserhouse Blooms did the flowers for the rehearsal dinner and came up with the cutest concept called “Meadow Moments.” They were such a fun touch and absolutely perfect for the setting. 🌸

A few weeks ago I asked my Facebook friends for makeup recommendations, and y’all came through! Veronica at Heavenly Faces Facial & Body Treatment Spa in Flower Mound did my makeup, and I was so happy with how it turned out. Highly recommend!

And finally…the wedding itself was at The Nest at Ruth Farms in Ponder. What an absolutely GORGEOUS venue. 😍 It was the perfect backdrop for such a special day, and now I am very impatiently waiting to get all of the photos back!

So grateful for all of the people who helped make this weekend everything we hoped it would be. If you’re planning a wedding or special event, these local businesses definitely deserve some love! ❤️
