IN THE LOVING MEMORY OF GINNY... I was very upset last night... Ginny, a ragdoll female, one of our graduates, was only 5 y.o. and went to rainbow last night, July 7, 2025 at 21:53 at the Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Springfield, MO while my husband was on a video call talking to Ginny before and during her crossing to the rainbow (I couldn't do that as my blood pressure was 170/110 prior to this call)...
On the same day, Ginny got picked up as a stray (but used to have an owner based on the written contract in place!) and taken to the clinic by a good Samaritan. Ginny' so to call owner, Linda Black Thomure, used Ginny to produce kittens (mate at 8 months old and have kittens at 10m.o.) and abused or abandoned her (we are trying to find out what happened) where Ginny was found 3 hours away from the Park Hills, MO' "house" where she supposed to live!
The veterinarian recommended to euthanize Ginny because she had many heath issues (deep wound, liquid in her chest/lungs area, she was strongly positive for FIV, etc.), weighted only 6 pounds (was malnutritioned!), and would not eat (poor Ginny could not take it anymore!) and was breathing like she was going into labor...
Despite of that we were still willing to try to save Ginny and pay the bills to put a tube in to drain the fluids, etc. if any rescue would take Ginny even for few days to stabilize her before she could travels with us, but no rescue would take her because of Ginny' condition but Ginny wouldn't eat and was very weak and had only 20% of survival, according to Dr.Toner...
As soon as we were contacted about Ginny, I called Linda but she hanged up the phone and did not respond to any texts...
Linda was obligated to return Ginny to the breeder (in accordance with the written contract in place!) in case she no longer wanted Ginny but choosed to either dump Ginny on the streets of Springfield or elsewhere or simply abandoned her right after Ginny litter was raised... Linda told 3 stories and all three are leading to the direct abandonment of Ginny... We reported this potential abuse and obvious abandonment of indoor animal to the Park Hills police last night, not sure what else we could do at this point...
Please share, if you care! This "woman" considers herself a Baptist and has a cattle business (not sure how caws are treated there!). She also rents cabins and tree houses on lake Avalon and has a business, Precision Foundation & Excavating LLC.
You can write few words to Linda from Ginny (because Ginny could not speak up for herself and was suffering silently, just gently purring) at:

UPDATE!!!
I have contacted local police department at 573-431-3131 and filed an animal abuse complaint with Keith Bainbridge. Yesterday, I also contacted 3 radio stations near Park Hills, MO and spoke with one of them directly, KFMO 1240 am, provided them details and information they asked me. Shortly after, I get a call from Linda screaming bloody murder that I am trying to ruin her reputation, calling me "f-g crazy cat lady," "nut," etc, and telling me "she" (meaning Ginny) was "JUST A F*G CAT" (yes, Ginny was a cat, but she was raised by us who care about welfare of our cats and kittens, so she is not 'just" a cat to us!)... Linda continued screaming that she is donating money to the rescues, etc. and that Ginny was living with to her daughter; 2 years ago her daughter went through an ugly divorce (where she has to pay 35k in attorney' fees and was kicked out by her husband out of the house and they was not allowed to come near her ex-husband's property) and the ex-husband ended up keeping all her daughter's animals including Ginny and Linda, supposedly, could not do anything about that. When I asked Linda how she could donate to rescue of other animals but didn't even try to rescue her own cat, as a legal owner of Ginny, from her ex son-in-law, there was no answer... but continuation of screaming, offering me money to take this post down and asking what I want. My answer was short: "go and f-g resurrect Ginny and bring her back to us!" and I hung up the phone...
After the first call, Linda tried to call me 17 times... because, interestingly enough, Linda posted comments under this post with a different story (please see for yourself her comments!) that Ginny was PROBABLY stolen along with other animals from her daughter's house (pardon me, the animals get stolen, do you continue your daily living like nothing ever happened or what?) OR got lost on Linda's farm (where Linda has plenty of neighbors) FOUR YEARS AGO. Ginny was a RAGDOLL [where as a kitten raised in a loving home as INDOOR CAT ONLY], so she would be scared to go anywhere far from the house even if she would of escaped from the house; she would not be wandering on farmland and be able to survive as a feral cat!)!
I don't know what to say... it makes me angry even more knowing that Ginny was probably kicked out of the house and lived as a feral cat 4 years of her life suffering when Ginny could be returned to us, get adopted into a loving home and live a happy, healthy life... if only Linda would return her to us as it was stated in the contract! Ginny was mate when she was still a kitten in Linda' care and gave birth to 5 healthy kitten somewhere in the begging of September 2020. If Ginny was "missing" for 4 years (based on Linda' story under my post here), does that mean as soon as those kittens were raised and sold, Ginny was no longer needed and got "disposed" to wander Linda' farmland???
Having ownership of a cat and knowingly failing to provide an adequate care, puting animal in danger resulted in substantial harm to the animal or purposely causing suffering to the animal is a misdemeanor in the state of MO and many other states...
PS: I took Linda' home address and phone number down as she has asked, although, it would be nice for her to receive lots of letters in the mail written in a memory of Ginny.
