In partnership with our community and other rescue groups, we are dedicated to raising awareness of humane treatment and respect for all animals.

Thirsty Thursday: Ancient Owl Edition

This Saturday, Novy's Ark will be hanging out in Atascadero celebrating the 5-year anniversary of Ancient Owl Beer Garden.

Ancient Owl is a pillar in SLO County, and their owner recently adopted one of our pups (check out the video on our timeline). On top of that, proceeds from the celebration will go to support our rescue of dogs here on the Central Coast!

So excited for this. Please come out and enjoy this exciting event with several other awesome A-town businesses. We'll be there from 3-5 pm!

Lulu and the “L” puppies update. We all are moving around not quite walking yet trying food but not all that interested. Lulu was thrilled to go for a walk and did well when I introduced her to my dogs.

Norman!!!! One year-old male neutered full of puppy energy. Would love an active home with kids or another little playful dog. I need some work on the leash but I’m a pretty easy guy otherwise. Oh and I like cats. If you would like to meet me please fill out an application at novysark.org

We are three weeks old. Get ready to see our weekly photos. Mom is a yorkie mix and I’m thinking dad could be a rat carrier but Linus has spots like a cattle dog. We will do their DNA test today and hopefully get it back around six weeks of age.

MONDAY MORNING ROLL CALL- Lulu is a two year-old Yorkshire terrier mix and her five puppies are now three weeks old. We will be doing their DNA test soon. Dewey is a two year-old dachshund Chihuahua mix that is shy at first but very affectionate and gentle. He loves other dogs and cats. Gladys a four year-old Shih Tzu. She is extremely friendly and affectionate. Maggi a four year-old Australian Shepherd mix. She is small, just 30 pounds and is very playful. She can be shy at first but would love to be the queen of someone’s castle. Norman a one year-old poodle terrier Cross who is full of wiggly energy. Wednesday a three month old border collie mix.
