“But Lisa, my clients don’t read blogs…”

I hear this ALL the time.

And my answer is: **They don’t have to. Google + AI do.**

Your blog isn't only there for someone to sit down with their morning coffee and read all 1,200 words.

Quality blog content helps Google and AI platforms understand:

→ What your business does
→ What you're an expert in
→ What questions you can answer
→ What services you provide
→ Where you provide them
→ Why your business may be a relevant answer to someone's search

Think about how YOU search now. You might ask Google or ChatGPT a very specific question and expect an answer without ever thinking, “I wonder if this company has a blog?”

But the content on those websites helps search engines and AI find those answers.

So no, your clients don't necessarily have to read every blog you publish.

**But you definitely want Google and AI reading them.**

That's a big reason I've added Content Studio as an option for my clients — creating consistent, strategic content designed for the way people are searching TODAY.

I hear this all the time from business owners:

“I can write my own blogs.”
Or lately… “Can’t I just have AI write them?”

And yes—you absolutely can.

But not all blogs are created equal.

A blog can be beautifully written and still do very little for your SEO or help your business get found in AI searches.

There’s strategy behind a quality SEO blog: understanding what people are actually searching for, using the right keywords naturally, answering real questions, structuring the content so search engines and AI can understand it, adding internal links, demonstrating expertise, and making sure it actually relates back to your business.

AI can be an AMAZING tool for creating content—I use it too! But you have to know what to ask it, what information to give it, and how to take what it produces and turn it into strategic content for your website.

We've been increasing the amount of quality, SEO-focused content on several client websites, and we're seeing the traffic increases to back it up. 📈

So yes, 4–6+ blogs a month can be a powerful part of your SEO and AI search strategy.

But publishing six blogs just to say you published six blogs isn't the goal.

Quality + Strategy + Consistency is what matters.

If you're spending hours writing blogs—or asking AI to write them for you—make sure that content is actually working as hard for your business as you are.

I've been noticing something interesting in my client reports lately... 👀

On websites where we've increased the amount of quality, helpful blog content being published each month, we're also seeing significant increases in website traffic.

And that's becoming even more important as search changes.

Google isn't the only place people are searching anymore. They're asking ChatGPT and other AI tools questions, looking for recommendations, and researching businesses in completely different ways.

One of the ways we're adapting? More consistent, high-quality content.

For some of my clients, we've increased from 1–2 blogs a month to 4–6+ strategic blogs that answer real questions their customers are searching for.

More quality content gives search engines and AI systems more information to understand who you are, what you know, what services you offer, and why your business may be relevant to a search.

And we're already seeing the traffic move in the right direction. 📈

If your content strategy still looks exactly like it did two years ago, it may be time for an update.

✨ WE'RE LIVE! ✨

There is something incredibly rewarding about helping an entrepreneur's vision become a reality.

Over the past month, I had the privilege of working with Annie at to bring her new website to life. Every business has a story to tell, and one of my favorite parts of what I do is taking that vision and creating a website that reflects not only who they are today, but where they're headed tomorrow.

A website is so much more than an online brochure.

It's often a first impression.
It's a reflection of your brand.
It's a tool that builds credibility and trust before a conversation ever begins.

Congratulations, Annie, on the launch of your beautiful new website! Thank you for trusting BlendWorks Digital to be a small part of your journey. I can't wait to watch Wild Growth Financial continue to grow and serve so many small business owners.

Go check it out at https://bit.ly/4gcZ3lg and help me celebrate this exciting launch!

When was the last time you actually looked at your website the way a customer—or even an AI—would?

I’m not just talking about design. I mean the actual information on it.

Because today, your website isn’t only being read by people anymore. It’s being read, interpreted, and compared by AI systems like Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT browsing, and other search assistants that are deciding which businesses to recommend.

And here’s the part most business owners don’t realize: those systems are looking for very specific signals.

They’re scanning your site for things like:
• Clear descriptions of what you actually do (not vague marketing language)
• Up-to-date service pages that match what you currently offer
• Location signals that confirm where you work and who you serve
• Real proof you’re active—like recent projects, photos, or updates
• Consistent wording across your pages so they don’t get “confused” about your business
• Helpful content that answers real customer questions in plain language

If your website hasn’t been touched in a while, AI can’t confidently tell if you’re still active, still relevant, or still the best option. And when it’s unsure, it simply moves on to someone else who looks more current.

The good news is you don’t need a full redesign to fix this.

Small, consistent updates make a big difference, like:
• Adding recent work or before-and-after photos
• Updating your services to reflect what you actually do today
• Writing short blog posts that answer common customer questions
• Expanding your service pages so they’re more specific and helpful
• Cleaning up outdated info, old offers, or expired details
• Adding FAQs written the way your customers actually speak

Think of it this way: AI is trying to “understand” your business as clearly as possible. The clearer and more current your website is, the more confidently it can recommend you.

So let me ask you again—when was the last time you gave your website a real, meaningful update?

The landscape of marketing strategies is changing rapidly with the rise of AI.

On a consulting call today with a client, we talked about how people are no longer just scrolling through a list of websites or relying only on traditional Google searches. Instead, they’re turning to AI-powered tools like Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other assistants to get direct answers and recommendations.

And they’re using them for all kinds of things, such as:

• “Who is the best company near me for this service?”
• “What local business can help me fix this problem quickly?”
• “Can you compare companies and tell me which one I should choose?”

This shift is huge because AI tools don’t just list websites—they synthesize information from across your website, Google Business Profile, reviews, social media, and other online sources to decide which businesses to recommend and how to describe them.

That means marketing is no longer just about ranking on Google or running ads. It’s about making sure AI systems can clearly understand and confidently describe your business.

To appear in AI-driven recommendations, businesses must clearly state what they do, who they serve, where they operate, the problems they solve, why they are trustworthy, and what sets them apart.

AI search is quickly becoming one of the primary ways people discover and evaluate businesses—often before they ever visit a website, make a call, or read a full review.

Is your business giving AI enough accurate and consistent information to confidently recommend you?

One of the things I love most about owning BlendWorks is that no two projects are ever the same.

One month I'm helping a local coffee shop. The next, I'm building a website for a pediatric office, a basement finishing company, or an engineering firm.

This latest project was for JA Wastewater, and it was an honor to help bring their next chapter to life.

Together, we took them from a simple one-page website to a fully developed 11-page website designed to better showcase their expertise, services, projects, and the incredible work they do.

One of my favorite parts of this process is getting to learn about industries I never knew much about. Every client teaches me something new, and every website tells a different story.

A website isn't just an online brochure anymore.

It's often the first impression someone has of your business. It builds credibility, strengthens your reputation, and gives potential customers confidence before they ever pick up the phone or send an email.

Being trusted to help businesses tell their story and position themselves for the next stage of growth is something I never take for granted.

Thank you to the JA Wastewater team for trusting BlendWorks with your vision. It was a privilege to be part of your journey, and I can't wait to watch your business continue to grow.

Every year it happens...

Around November, my phone starts ringing with business owners asking, "Can we build a brand-new website before the end of the year?"

I completely understand. You're busy serving clients, managing your team, taking family vacations, getting kids back to school, and running your business. Then suddenly it's the holiday season, and the new year is right around the corner.

But if a new website is one of your goals for 2027, now is actually the perfect time to start planning.

A website isn't something I like to rush. The best websites take time. We need time to talk through your goals, write content that truly reflects your business, schedule updated branding photos, organize your services, build in SEO from the very beginning, and create a website that not only looks great but helps turn visitors into customers.

Your website is often the first impression someone has of your business. It's one of your hardest-working marketing tools, and it's worth investing the time to do it right.

So here's your Monday reminder... if "new website for 2027" has been sitting in the back of your mind, let's start the conversation this summer instead of trying to squeeze it into November or December.

Your future self (and your marketing) will thank you.

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! ❤️🤍💙

One of the things I love most about living in the USA is the freedom to build a life that’s aligned with what matters most to you.

For me, that’s meant building a business that allows me to serve incredible clients while also creating space for moments like this week. I’m taking a few days to rest, reset, and spend intentional time with my family—not because the work isn’t important, but because this is exactly why I started BlendWorks in the first place.

Today’s highlight: taking them to the Kansas City Royals game. ⚾️ Beckett is a huge Bobby Witt Jr. fan, so getting to watch him play in person absolutely made his day… and honestly, it may have made his whole year.

As entrepreneurs, we often talk about freedom, but to me, freedom isn’t about working less. It’s about having the flexibility to be present for the moments that matter most, while continuing to show up for the people who trust me with their business. That’s a balance I’ll always strive for.

I hope you’re finding time this summer to make memories with the people you love, too.

Alright… baseball hats off, soccer scarves on! ⚾➡️⚽ Go USA! 🇺🇸 Let’s keep the red, white, and blue celebration going!
