My name is Isabella! My mother is Dina, the lovely owner of Vacuums R Us. Some of you may remember me from the Boulder store. Today, I am writing to you all the way from Buffalo, New York to share some tragic news:
Unfortunately, one of our beloved cowoofers, Lily, has passed away.
I could write forever about her. Whenever Lily was around, she lit up an entire room. It’s something you normally hear about people, not dogs, but she did. You couldn’t help but smile when she would “tip-tap” her toes. Lily went by many names other than Lily. The list is lengthy, but some standouts were: Little Big Dog (LBD for short) and Princess Lily-Pad! She spent her days helping out in the back of the house, with shipping and inventory. She made sure packages arrived on time, drop offs were checked in promptly, and that all the delivery drivers paid the Lily Tax (treats!). She spent some of her time up front as well, especially if there were any kids around. Lily loved to play babysitter.
She was also Maximus’s bossy, demanding younger sister. Losing Maximus last year took a toll on her, but now, they can finally be together again. Losing both of them, however, means Vacuums R Us has changed forever.
Change is not a bad thing. It’s a lesson we all have to learn over and over again.
I wanted to thank all of you, our customers, for making her life so full. She was loved dearly, and she knew it till the very end. I wanted to thank our delivery drivers for loving her so much they’d make extra stops. Particularly, Jesse. We cannot thank you enough.
Thank you for making everyday special.
In light of Lily’s passing, we ask that you be patient with our staff this week. They’re incredible, but this loss is hard and sudden. Please feel free to share any stories you have of her, memories or pictures. We want to celebrate her life and reunion with her big brother.
