Evergreen Disposal Labor Day Schedule Reminder

We hope everyone has enjoyed their Friday! Here is another reminder of our holiday collection schedule for Labor Day, the week of September 7 – 12, 2026:
📍 VIRGINIA Customers:
We will be operating as scheduled; there will be NO INTERRUPTION in services for the week of Labor Day. Please note, our office will be CLOSED Monday, Sept. 1.
📍 MARYLAND Customers:
There will be a one-day delay for ALL services the week of Labor Day. Schedule will be as follows:
▪️Monday collection will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 8
▪️Tuesday collection will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 9
▪️Wednesday collection will take place on Thursday, Sept. 10
▪️Thursday collection will take place on Friday, Sept. 11
▪️Friday collection will take place on Saturday, Sept. 12 (Office Closed)
Routes will return to their normal pickup days the following week (Sept. 14 – 18).

📢 Please place your items out the night before your service day to ensure pickup, as service times may vary. As always, updates will be posted on our Facebook and Website. For a full list of holiday closures, visit our website under Resources > FAQ.

A big thank you to our driver for acting quickly when a battery sparked a fire in one of our trucks. Their quick response helped prevent a more serious incident and kept safety the top priority.

Remember: NEVER throw your batteries into the trash or recycling bin, so that you can prevent more incidents like these from happening.

🚛🗑️ We see a lot of creative cart placement on collection day... but there's really only one right answer. 😅
✅ At the curb 3ft apart from each other
✅ Facing the street with the wheels facing your home
✅ 10ft apart from obstacles such as: mailboxes, vehicles, lamp posts or power lines

📚✏️ With the new school year starting up, busy mornings are back! Between school drop-offs, packed lunches, and getting everyone out the door, it's easy to forget trash day. Help avoid a missed pickup by placing your bins at the curb the night before your collection day and remembering to follow these guidelines:

Help avoid a missed pickup by placing your bins at the curb the night before your collection day and following these simple guidelines:
✅ Place your container at the curb with the wheels facing your house and the lid opening toward the street.
✅ Keep garbage and recycling containers at least 4 feet away from mailboxes, vehicles, lamp posts, power lines, and other obstacles.
✅ Leave your container at the curb until the end of the day if it hasn't been collected. Collection times may vary, and our drivers could be running later than expected.
✅ Put your items out the night before your scheduled collection day whenever possible.
Note: Some HOA communities have specific rules regarding when containers may be placed at the curb. Please check your community bylaws before setting out your bins.
