Praying for this family today!
I must caution you that these images contain extremely sensitive material. I understand that some of you may not want to see these kind of photos, but if you do view them please be respectful and kind. Alyssa and Justin have asked me to share their story in hopes to possibly reach anyone who has suffered a similar loss.
As a photographer, I get to capture most people at their happiest. There are many times that I get asked to capture moments that are not so happy, a moment when they have just lost a precious blessing. As you look through the images please do so with respect and love. Be kind with your comments and pray for Kaden’s precious mommy and daddy, Alyssa and Justin.
When the Lord leads me I try my best to follow. He lead me to meet Kaden along with his parents. When I got the call I rushed out the door in the drenching rain. My family was worried that I should even be leaving the house because of how the roads would be. I seriously prayed the entire trip to the hospital. I prayed I would be kept safe while traveling, I prayed I would make it before sweet Kaden gained his wings, I prayed that I would know what to say to the most precious young mom and dad that would be welcoming their sweet baby into this world and saying their good byes to their baby all within two hours, I prayed that his mommy and daddy would get to hear his sweet voice, I PRAYED!
When Kaden’s mom was 5 months expecting, they were told that he had polycystic kidneys and that he had a 10% expectancy rate and when she had him he would gain his wings shortly after. They were given the chance to terminate the pregnancy early, they chose not to, they PRAYED. Alyssa lost her fluid early and at 34 weeks on November 5th had some bleeding which brought her to the hospital and they scheduled a c-section for that day. He was born weighing 3lbs 9 oz and was 16 inches long.
I arrived shortly after the c-section and was rushed straight to NICU. As I entered the room his daddy was standing over sweet Kaden holding his sweet body with tears flowing down his face. I will always remember the sweet sounds Kaden was making and his daddy telling him “it was ok”. Kaden was then rushed to his mommy. I can promise you one of the most heart wrenching moments I will ever witness is watching sweet Kaden take his last breath while laying on his mommies chest.
I’m ever so blessed to have got to meet this precious family and be there for them on the saddest day of their lives. To capture memories that they will have forever. Thank you Jesus for letting his parents hear him cry and hear his little noises. I’m thankful they got to hold him, to kiss him and to just be his mommy and daddy before he gained his wings. Don’t ever take a moment with your children or grandchildren for granted. While most are watching our little ones grow there are some who are grieving for theirs.
Alyssa and Justin I think of you both often and when I do I say a prayer for you. God Bless you both.
But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14
